Yash Raj Films and The Walt Disney Studios have entered into an agreement to exclusively create a series of original computer-animated feature films in Indian Language. Their first venture will be ‘Roadside Romeo’ which is slated for release in 2008. The film will be produced by Aditya Chopra and, written and directed by Jugal Hansraj, and will utilize state-of-the-art computer animation technology done entirely in India. It’s not partly animated like Anubhav Sinha’s ‘Cash’. Yash Raj Films have come together with world-renowned leaders in family entertainment The Walt Disney Studios to make a purely animated bollywood movie titled ‘ Roadside Romeo’. The two leaders in cinema, Yash Raj Films and Walt Disney entered into an agreement to exclusively create a series of original computer-animated feature films in the Indian language. Both the companies will be equal partners in the venture and will contribute creative, technical and financial support to the project. The first film to be co-produced in this alliance will be ‘Roadside Romeo’, set to release in 2008. The film will be produced by Aditya Chopra and, written and directed by Jugal Hansraj, and will utilize state-of-the-art computer animation technology done entirely in India. Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Javeed Jaferry will lend their voices over to the dogs.
