Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya wins box-office race

Of the two releases last week – both medium budget films with a small but reliable star cast, Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya has clearly won the box-office race. After a good weekend of  7.8 crores, the film has held up well on Monday, to take it’s 4 day total to around Rs 9.5 crores. The film opened to an average response on Friday (1.9 crores), picked up considerably on Saturday (2.5 crores) and did exceptionally well on Sunday (3.4 crores).

For Ritesh Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza, 3rd February 2012 is the biggest day of their lives. The couple who have been dating for more than 8 years, finally tied the knot in Marathi tradition. They are now husband and wife. The wedding took place at the Grand Hyatt in Mumbai. It was a small gathering of only close friends and family. The celebrities who made it to the function are Shahrukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaya  Bachchan, Kajol, Ajay Devgan, Akshay Kumar, Sajid Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Karan Johar, Ashutosh Gowariker, Sajid Nadiadwala, Satish Shah, Asin, Jacky Bhagnani, Vashu Bhagnani, Ramesh Taurani, Nishka and Neeta Lulla. Politicians in the guest list were Sharad Pawar, Praful Patel, Sunil Tatkare and Johny Joseph. Celebrities also congratulated the couple on Twitter. Akshay Kumar, Ritesh Deshmukh will return with John Abraham and Shreyas Talpade in the Houseful 2 which promises unlimited entertainment and laughs. Along with director Sajid Khan, the Housefull 2 gang was caught in their nerdy look on the sets of the film. The cast had a ball during the making of the movie. Much like Housefull 1 which was one of the biggest grossers of last year, Sajid Khan is once again at the helm for the sequel – Housefull 2 produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. A new song trailer of Housefull has been released by Eros. The song titled ‘Papa’ is a potential chartbuster. In the promo, Boman Irani is shown sleep-walking while the rest of the cast – Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone,  Ritesh Deshmukh and Lara Dutta – seem to be having a lot of fun around him. Boman dancing to the tunes in his sleep is quite hilarious. The lyrics are nice and funny too. Watch the trailer and tell us what you think.
