Producer-director Karan Johar, who has the official rights of Amish Tripathi popular novel ”Immortals of Meluha”, believes that the movie adaptation will prove to be a game changer for Dharma Productions. “For me, it is not just another film. I would say it would be a game-changer for Dharma Productions” Karan said at the launch of the cover page of “Oath of the Vayuputras”, the third book in Amish Tripathi’s Shiva trilogy.

May not get time for SOTY premiere – Karan Johar

Filmmaker Karan Johar reveals that he wanted to hold a grand premiere for “Student of The Year” but promotional commitments prevent him from doing so. “Student of The Year” marks the debut of Varun Dhawan, director David Dhawan’s son; model Siddharth Malhotra and Mahesh Bhatt and Soni Razdan’s daugher Alia. “I would like to present them, I wish we had the schedule and time. I wanted to hold a grand premiere and officially introduce them (the new actors) to the movie industry. But our marketing plans are so extensive, city visits, international travel,” the 40-year-old said in an interview.

There is buzz in the industry that Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor are all set to work together in a film produced by Dharma Productions. The two stars go back a long way, when Kareena Kapoor was first signed to play the female lead in Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, but later opted out. Between 2001-2003, they worked in four films together – Yaadein, Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon, Mujshe Dosti Karoge? and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Ghum (which was their only success).
