The Return of Empire – Hrithik Roshan

We grew up at the movies. He and I. Well almost. Its easy to lapse into nostalgia about Hrithik Roshan. Not that he’s old. Not that I’m very young either. I’m guessing we are the same age. As a rookie reporter, I still recall him sitting outside Shah Rukh Khan’s make-up room at Filmistan Studio, shooting the breeze on the sets of his father’s film King Uncle. Duggu ( as he’s known) was assisting on the film. SRK had told me then that the boy was being primed for stardom. A lot has changed since then. The world has shrunk. Hrithik Roshan became a superstar of stars. All in the blink of a showbiz flash. Somehow he still seems like that beautiful boy of 23. Excerpts from Filmfare January 2008 issue.

Jodha Akbar Trailer – Details

Detailed review of the theatrical trailer by a reader of Indicine.com The logo of the two production houses UTV and AG Productions of this grand epic marks the beginning of the promo. Then the focus shifts to the brightly burning fire, a wedding scene where you see the groom being seated and bride being brought to the well decorated mantap. The faces of both the groom and the bride are covered and hence we don’t get a clear look at them as you witness them exchange garlands. After this a close shot of Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan in the attire of the great emperor Akbar (the audience goes completely wild and crazy here. The noise is deafening!) as he utters “hamle ke liyae taiyaar”.

Jodhaa Akbar Trailer Review

Ashutosh Gowarikar sure is a man of genius in art. His magnum opus epic movie Jodhaa Akbar’s promo was visually stunning and the background score is sure to take you by surprise. It does feel like a genuine attempt to meet the gigantic setting of the masterpiece Mughl-e-Azam by K Asif. Right from the first frame till the last of this three and a half minute trailer, the efforts that seem to have gone into this love story or the “marriage of alliance” between one of the most charismatic Mughal rulers and the princess of arch rivals Rajputs, is simply unbelievable.
