Rowdy Rathore vs Dabangg – Which is your pick?

Rowdy Rathore is the first ‘Blockbuster’ of 2012 and is running successfully all over in it’s 4th week. The film is now being referred to as Akshay Kumar’s Dabangg! Although the response to both films was similar, Rowdy Rathore is unlikely to go past the lifetime collections of Dabangg (140 crores). But that could well be due to competition from new releases every week – from films like Shanghai, Ferrari Ki Sawaari and Teri Meri Kahaani.

We recently held a poll, where we asked our readers to vote for the Best Action Heroes in Bollywood. Here are the results. 5. John Abraham (108 votes) – Even though he has one of the best physiques in the industry, John has very rarely featured in action films. He was last seen in Force, which was an average grosser at the box-office. 4. Hrithik Roshan (362 votes) – Agneepath was one of the best performances of Hrithik’s career. He is perfectly suited for the action-masala trend of today, but known for being a perfectionist, Roshan has been extremely selective over the last decade or so. His other action hits are Krrish and Dhoom 2.

Rowdy Rathore: 100 crores in India

Rowdy Rathore is on a historic run at the box-office.  In 10 days, the film has crossed the 100 crore mark and should go past Agneepath, the biggest grosser of the year so far, in Week 3. After a huge first week of 78 crores, the film continued it’s smashing run with a 22 crore second weekend – which is the third highest ever after 3 Idiots and Dabangg. The second weekend is also the biggest of the year, ahead of Agneepath by 6.5 crores and Housefull 2 by 2.5 crores.

He’s a superstar again after Housefull and Rowdy Rathore, but with his fans Akshay is the most humble and down-to-earth actor in the industry. Has anyone seen Akshay angry?
