The last two films of 2015 have released and the two films, Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani, have taken the 3rd and 4th spot respectively in the highest first week box office collections of 2015.
Salman Khan leads with Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo topping the list. The combined first week collections of the two films is a staggering Rs 350.1 crore net.
Akshay Kumar has two films in the Top 10 (Singh Is Bling, Brothers) and so does Varun Dhawan (Dilwale and ABCD 2).

But in 2011 SRK did Ra.One and Don 2 both underperformed but still were Hits, Hrithik did ZNMD which was a Superhit and Ajay did Singham which was also a Superhit . Akshay had a bad year in 2011 . Cut to 2015 Salman did BB and PRDP , Akshay did GIB which was a Clean Hit, Baby and SIB were successful and Brothers was a Failure, Ajay did Drishyam which was successful and SRK is struggling with Dilwale in Domestic Business . Aamir and Hrithik were missing in 2015 . So this makes the success of Salman even more special . But 2016 looks an exciting year for everyone .

Let me my honest opinion here.
Dilwale lacks a Serious Climax and suffers from a shallow plot.
PRDP too suffered from a shallow plot but it had a good climax.
When a film doesnt have a climax, audiences feel like they waste their time and do not come out of theatres without any film. At least for me that was the case.
Besides it doesnt have a good story.. Old gista pista story..

Megastar Salman khan’s below average not so commercial and universally appealing genre prdp took highest opening day (actual figure without manipulation) and crossed 200 Cr despite word album and poor script. That’s card megastardom. While srk’s multistarrer, commercial appealing masala comedy with bankable supporting cast and commercial successful director is struggling to cross 150 Cr and now hit verdict is unlikely. That’s called overrated media creation of stardom. I repeat, srk couldn’t have made prdp even a semi hit if he started in it. And if Salman was in dilwale them despite clash, BM would have been a big disaster despite good WOM because of tsunami called Salman khan. That’s my open challenge to all Srk fans. Salman in dilwale would have crossed 250 Cr with clash. But if srk was jn prdp then despite no clash it wouldn’t have crossed 100 Cr on diwali. That’s the difference.
