There is tremendous buzz around Dharma Productions’ upcoming film ‘Shaandaar’ which releases in theatres next week. The film stars Shahid Kapoor, an incredibly talented actor, whose films, more often than not, have under-performed at the box office.
The biggest hit of Shahid’s career is Sooraj Barjatya’s Vivaah, which is his only box office ‘blockbuster’, followed by Imtiaz Ali’s Jab We Met, Prabhu Deva’s R.. Rajkumar and Vishal Bhardwaj’s Haider.
Now, with Shaandaar set to take a good start at the ticket window, the big question is, will the film go on to be the highest grosser of Shahid Kapoor’s career. Currently, his biggest grosser is R.. Rajkumar which went on to do business of Rs 67 crore.

Shaandaar some how getting a feeling will not live up to its so called media hype. Songs are bad.
Looks everyone is doing overacting in the promos and songs. 22nd October it will get dusehra benifit, 10-12 cr max I guess. fri-sat should be way below 5-7 cr range, Sunday again 8-9 cr. then downhill in the week days. 1st week will be around 42-45 cr range at the max. lifetime below 60 crores and for shahid that will be considered as superhit. Alia looks to me the only saving grace in this movie.

And i don’t see your comment in shahid kapoor related article except this one. Here also u try to show that rom -comedy is not good genere because shaandaar is romance comedy. But shaandaar is very fresh rom-comedy with fresh concept and bolleywood 1st destination wedding film.

Not forget vikas vhal is the director of shandaar which did 62cr last year, shandaar openning n weekned(4days) will surprise by a huge margin
Who is this kk??? @kk for your kind information shahid has 9 hits and emran has 10 or 11 hits out of this emran r soppurting actor in 3 films. Shahid had 4-5 clean hits out of 9 and emran has 5-6 clean hit out of which he is supporting actors in ouatim and the dirty picture.

just because she has few hits in her hand doesnt mean she will guarantee an opening and is more popular than shahid…shahid is an upcoming superstar IN SHAA Allah(still he is but will prove)…if any one have doubts watch haider you will see his potential… he should have got national award but as we all know national award too sucks sometimes
besides alia bhaat’s starpower was seen in highway… inspite of getting good reviews it collected 29crs approx and settled for below average status

Why people judge films based on how much it will make or can make.
If you want to watch it then watch it and enjoy it and then comment on it and if not then ignore it…as simple as that…how much film makes & if it is hit or flop is no one’s business. Be a good viewer…you are neither producer nor a distributor. stop judging everything based on it’s outcome. question is if you enjoy it.
whoever is saying it will work because of Alia then if it fails please make sure to blame her.
If Shahid’s film fails then it’s because of him and if Ranbir’s fail then it’s because of director !!!!

Enough is enough….if hit or flop no one ever can take away talent Shahid has….& no matter what some people say…he is still doing some good movies with good directors…has got great line up of movies and is standing tall on his own for last 12 years & will do for next many. Content must be good no matter what it does at the box office. And Shahid is very talented actor so plz don’t judge him by his box office performance
