A. Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is likely to be a typical Sooraj Barjatya film. It will appeal towards the family audience and will do well at smaller centres too. Circuits like Bihar, UP, C.I and C.P are huge for Barjatya movies. But the big test, like we have already said, is the youth. If they take a liking to the film, there would be no stopping the 2015 Diwali release.
Q. Can Akshay Kumar’s Baby collect Rs 20 crore on its opening day and 150 plus final collection in India or will it be yet another 70 crore grosser? (Nishant)
A. Box office is unpredictable. Who knows what sort of opening Baby will take? But based on the response to the trailer and the performance of Akshay-Neeraj’s Special 26, it would be difficult to achieve 20 crore on Day 1. Baby is likely to be a multiplex-targeted film, that would grow depending on how the content is liked. Opening of 15 cr would be excellent!
Q. You answered a question that SRK is not losing his stardom or fans. Please answer this, why his movies since 2007 can’t make it to the top grosser of the year? – Harsh Sharma
A. Lifetime collections has absolutely nothing to do with stardom. Star power is judged based on the opening day and weekend collections. Shahrukh Khan has consistently delivered record box office opening, whether it is Ra One (second day was the highest of all time), Chennai Express (highest opening day and weekend) and 2014 is likely to belong to him too (Happy New Year collected 44.97 cr on Day 1). The final total (i.e the highest grosser) depends on star power, genre, director and several other factors like release date and period. Also, the very fact that SRK has never really seen his career graph go down, speaks volumes of his established fan base. His consistency is unmatched too, both in the domestic markets and internationally.

There cant be another HAHK but PRDP will set benchmarks for family dramas genre. Cant say anything about BO (lifetime) without first look but definitely will open huge due to Salman stardom plus Diwali !!!!!!!!!!
@sss : I will give you the answer. Unlike Aamir & Salman, Srk is good businessman too (which is not bad). Srk knew how to recovers cost much before his movie releases n does months of publicity, promotions n tie ups with various brands, foreign tours to sell his movies (which again not a bad thing). However Aamir n Salman solely believe in their movies n star power they dont do such promotions as Srk. Aamir claimed Talaash as non entertainer so he knews its not for everyone n not expecting another 3 idiots, Example : Why did Srk took 4 movies to gross 150 crs in India n even Ranbir grossed 180 cr before Srk. That means Srk is smaller than Ranbir ? Coming to Jai Ho, it was more about society n social drama with poor production values n direction still Salman power too it beyond Average. Keep this in mind n never forget Jai Ho is a semi Hit if you still call it flop then Ra.One is disaster. Example : Swades was all about social drama n patriotism why didnt it become a Hit ?? Does it mean Srk power was phuss at that time. Think logically before you post or call other actors as flops. Both the examples I have given using Srk movies but I still rate him high n consider him as ONE of the superstar not the LONE superstar !!!!!!!!!!!!
Srk is losing his stardom bcz in last 6yrs only Aamir snd Salman have given years biggies and this year his hny didnt break evrn sallu’s kick. this year again aamir will be on top. Aamir is the real king of boxoffice by his great content movies now pk has proved again why aamir does great films
