The battle for IPL supremacy is nearing its closing stages, with 4 teams qualifying for the playoffs. Two of those are co-owned by Bollywood stars Shahrukh Khan and Preity Zinta, with their teams Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab battling it out, at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata today, for a spot in the IPL Finals.
While Preity’s Kings XI Punjab topped the table in the league stage, SRK’s KKR claimed the second spot mainly due to Yusuf Pathan’s timely return to form.
The other two teams are Chennai Super Kings and defending champions Mumbai Indians – who miraculously made it to the playoffs after losing all their 5 matches in the UAE leg of the tournament.
