  • One and only Khan….. SALMAN KHAN…

Hey one can watch the voting %….

Indecine team why don u declare Salman as the No 1 Superstar after watching the poll verdict.

Also he is the leading superstar for 2009 with Blockbuster-Wanted…. Superhit- London dreams…

we are proud of Salman khan…. 2010 VEER is also block buster gud luck salman

  • OK, I’m getting sick of this. Salman khan has only won ONE Filmfare award, while Shahrukh wins one almos every year and Aamir usually wins it whenever a film releases. Salman Khan has had 26 successful or average films out of about 73 total films. That’s less that half, it’s only a little over one-third. And Anish (and Saju Dey), a person is not stupid just for not liking Salman Khan. Generalizing and lumping people into categories like that is…well, just generally stupid.

Looking at the statistical data, Salman Khan is not a roaring success as of now. My opinion is that he can’t act. And London Dreams was an average film, not a hit. Also, Saju Dey, why on earth would MNIK be a box office disaster? How? It’s SRK for heaven;s sake. With Kajol. Does the term ‘hit jodi’ sound familiar to you? Veer is a trillion times less likely to be a hit than MNIK. Please use logic in your arguments, and don’t make us suffer.

  • AB,
Wen did i wrote that the persons who dislikes Salman r stupid?? I just wrote those who call him a flop star are stupids…. So do read the comments properly…. Wen i said LD is a HIT?? :o….

U say Salman can’t act??? I dont agree… Yes he is not the best around in B-town… But wen he care fully selects his movies, he has given some memorable performance…. TERE NAAM, Jaan-e-mann, LD,Wanted, Karan Arjun,Andaz apna apna, Garv etc to name a few….

If he was so bad he would not have survived in this industry for 20 long years and 20 more to come…. Forget about surviving… He was always amongst the TOP 5 actors in this country… How come if he was so bad??

His Bad time started in 2000 wen he ran into certain controversies…. His Love life turned Awry… He started doing bad movies… So he suffered some set backs….

But now he has transformed himself and started concentrating on his career like never before..

He was the most succesful STAR in the 1990’s… He gave MAX hits during that period…

All his future films looks good…
As far awards are concerned SRK sure has a monopoly with the awards…

This clearly Explains Abhishek not winning Best actor Despite giving such a laudable and critically acclaimed performance in GURU which was a much better act than SRK’s Chak De Act… Wat u say on this???

SRK is not a great actor either.. He is Just an Over-rated Actor… His Forte is DRAMA where he excels… Leave aside any other genre… Did u saw his OVER-THE-TOP act in RNBDJ or for that matter in OSO… or the current ongoing DULHA MIL GAYA promo???

SRK’s all the succesful films have been DRAMA… The time he tried something different, he either goes over the top or end up being lame & dumb…

Aamir, Ajay, Amitabh are the only gr8 actors who are amongst the most succecful breed… Even IRFAN khan is hugely talented where he stand now?? No where….

SRK’s lucky also that he got along with some of the best names in the buisness… Though i dont under estimate his success… Like certain Dumb acts do with Salman….

Give Salman his due…. Give wat he deserves… And if some one comments that he is a failure… Dudu u need a reality check…

    No offence to any one… I m a SALMAN fan & i agree SRK’s is more popular….

So i request other to also respect SALMAN… and give him what he deserves…

For me he is still the No 3 Star in INDIA after SRK & AAMIR… But plzz plzz Don’t Say that a Certain Akshay or Hrithik is superior to him jus on the basis of recent BO performance… Compare their entire carrer and u will get the Scenario….

    Thanks…

  • TO ALL SRK FANS-
From the first movie MAINE PYAR KIYA in 1989 to WANTED in 2009( even SALMANS duds in 2008 YUVRAAJ & GOD TUSSI GREAT HO all his movies got more than 60% openin at the BOX OFFICE which is track record, no other actor has in bollywood). Only LONDON DREAMS got 40-50% openin & MAMK was not SALMAN’s movie(he did a CAMEO, all knows). Even SRK’s KING PAHELI & SWADES opened to 50% openin…wow what a STAR POWER of the so called KING KHAN…?????…hahaha

    1. SALMAN’S dont have big fan following in METRO CITIES( like Delhi, Banglore, gurgaon, hyderabad, etc). These are all MULTIPLEXES cities(where 20-30% of INDIAN population resides).
    2. SALMAN’s has got incredible fan following in MEDIUM & SMALL centres(where today also single screens works, where 60-70% population lives). if this pole would have been from all over india, SALMAN would have got 60-70% of the votes
    3. In SMALL & MEDIUM centres only MASALA & COMEDY movies works like GHAJINI, WANTED, PARTNER, GARV.. thats why SALMANS movies WANTED, GARV, PARTNER etc got 95-100% openin..Even SRK movies not works at SINGLE SCREENS(like CHAK DE, OSO etc)…that is SALMANS STAR POWER
    4. SALMAN has got massive FAN FOLLOWING in DUBAI, PAKISTAN(WANTED broke all records) & in UK.
    5. SALMAN is not media friendly….media alwaz makes negative comments about him…still HE is the most searched bollywood celebrity all over the world…that is SALMAN star power…he has got more loyal fans…if SRK give 4-5 flops in a row…he will be finished….srk only works with KARAN JOHAR & YASH CHOPRA(same kind of Roles, alwaz CRIES)…SALMAN dont need BIG BANNERS to prove his STARDOM(when he gifted CHAKDE & BAAZIGAR to SRK)…..he alwayz do films with different directors
    6. SALMAN has given more HITS in the 90’s….HE RULED BOLLYWOOD..his FILMS are the BIGGEST GROSSERS FOR 5 different years in 1991(3 HITS), 1994(2HITS), 1998(3HITS),1999(3HITS) & 2005(3 HITS)…which no other ACTOR njoys, not even BIG B….
    7. SALMAN is the 2nd bollywood actor after DHARMENDRA..to featured in the PEOPLE’s magazine(UK’s no1 magazine). this feat is further achieved by HRITHIK…
    8. SALMANS statue is far more domineering than the other INDIAN celebrities at MADAAM TUSAAUDS in LONDON….his STATUE is the most HUGGED, KISSED, & PHOTOGRAPHED….
    9. 10 ka DUM both season were huge success, bcz of SALMANS unique style of interecting with his FANS….why KYA AAP PANCHVI PASS SE TEZ HAIN was not a success of so called KING KHAN..???
    10. In 1994, ‘Hum Aapke Hain Kaun’ smashed ‘Sholay’ records Gross to become the biggest grosser film at that time and did excellent business in the overseas for a Bollywood film. It was the first film to do over Rs. 10 crores in the overseas market.
Maine Pyar Kiya broke records not only in India, but also in overseas market.
11.Despite SRK being the ruler of the overseas market, it’s in fact Salman Khan films which opened Bollywood films to the overseas market. Yes, Amitabh Bachchan films in the 70s and 80s films succeeded in the West Indies, North American and UK territory, but it was ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ that made the huge impact. It broke records everywhere especially in the West Indies. It was dubbed in English ‘As When Love Calls’ and in Spanish as ‘Te Amo’. ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ was Rs.1 crore short of beating ‘Sholay’ record Gross. Then came ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun’ that smashed records everywhere. HAHK was the first film to gross over Rs.50 crores, and settled for a Rs.65 crores run at the BO. Plus, it was the first film to gross over a $1,000,000 in the US market, and over 1,000,000 Pounds in the UK market. Since then, Bollywood has made a huge impact in the overseas market. If trade reports are to be believed, it was Salman Khan who started the bumper opening trend. That’s why back in the 90s, most of his films were HITS at the BO because they had took huge opening at the BO (he did it on a consistent basis). Even his flop films were nearly recoverable thanks to the good opening it received.
12.Despite being a Disaster at the BO, still Salman Khan is the first commercial Bollywood star to work with Hollywood director (William Carroll), and actress (Ali Larter). A huge achievement for our Sallu.

  • SALMAN may not be the BEST ACTOR in the bollywood…..but he has done every kind of roles & Got SUCCESS for the last 20 years(except NEGATIVE role) like romance, comedy, serious, drama…but when he uses his brains instead of heart….he is EXCEPTIONAL in roles like TERE NAAM, HDDCS, WANTED, GARV, HAHK, VEERGATI, KARAN ARJUN, LONDON DREAMS, MPK, Andaz apna-2, BIWI NO.1…even TARAN ADARSH has said that SALMAN is EXCEPTIONAL in the roles which fits him into the T….if SRK is the KING why he has not won NATIONAL AWARD till now..???bcz only ROMANTIC ROLES cant give the NATIONAL AWARDS & are given for the PERFORMANCE not for the BRANDS…wow what a BEST ACTOR….FILMFARE awards are always fixed.and are alwaz goes for the films from the BIG banners like YASH RAJ , KARAN JOHARetc………for KARAN ARJUN…..SALMAN was nominated for the BEST ACTOR…why not SRK nominated for KARAN ARJUN..????….infact SALMAN didnt get award….jz bcz SRK took award for DDLJ….again award went in favour of YASH RAJ films….SALMANS performance in TERE NAAM was exceptional & got nominated for the BEST ACTOR…even the so called CRITICS told….but again the award wewnt to SRK for KAL HO NA HO…again award for the KARAN JOHAR movie..even the people appreciated performance of SALMAN in TERE NAAM…but CRITICS r CRITICS…THATS why AAMIR & AJAY DEVGAN has won 2 NATIONAL AWARDS each till DATE…even DHARMENDRA never won BEST ACTOR award…he even didnt get nominated for a single movie during his career…what does that mean that he was not a good ACTOR….

BEST ACTOR in the BOLLYWOOD is AAMIR KHAN…GHAJINI is the BIGGEST GROSSER till date…130 crores nett at the INDIAN BOX OFFICE & 200 crores all over the world…AAMIR desreve to be the KING KHAN title….even HAHK netted 110crores at the INDIAN BOX OFFICE…..SRKS movie never netted 100 crores at the INDIAN box office…his DDLJ netted 98 crores nett…itz all media HYPE….people does not appreciate that SRK is the KING…itz only SRKS fans does….

  • RE: PUNEET

I’m 100% Agree with you……………NO ONE CAN BEAT TO MR. PERFECTIONIST. REAL KING KHAN AMIR KHAN.
He is not a media creature. He is a self performer. AMIR KHAN is the best, Sallu also good,Srk also in love stories, Akshay in comedy & action, AJAY DEVGAN also deserve much much more . He is the best in SERIEOUS ROLES,ACTION FLICKS, NEGATIVE ROLES & now in comedy he is also beating number of others.

  • My Top 5 FILMS of 2009…and one of them would surely take away all the awards. Here it is,
    1.Dev D
    2.Wanted
    3.Love Aajkal
    4.London Dreams
    5.Kaminey…
Two other films which could have been in the list had it been enhance d to 7 films are:
    New York
    Wake Up Sid….
and ofcourse I like Indicine a lot

  • Mentioning success ration is not the true indicator of star power. Suppose an actor worked in just 5 movies and all were successful, will you call him biggest star. The true box ofice power will be the overall collection of all films done by an actor adjusted to current prices. Every big star is a fan following and if you are doing just one film in a year, it is likely to be hit.
So if you take total box office draw adjusted to current prices, amithab will emerge as the biggest star followed by dharmendra (who enjoys highest successs ration I believe). srk and salman will come neck to neck. Amir will be way behind although he is a great actor.

  • GLOBAL LIST OF ACTORS(IN EARLY 2009)- OUR BOLLYWOOD ACTORS POSITION

    2. LOVE AAJ KAL-(66 CRORE NETT)

    3. APKGK-(62 CRORE NETT)

MOVIE OF THE YEAR 2009- LONDON DREAMS(TILL NOW)

why LONDON DREAMS was not a SUCCESS-

    1. NOT PROMOTED WELL ENOUGH(promoted in the last week before its release)
    2. MUSIC was not good enough(as musical films should have)
    3. JUST had 1 week, wrong release date(due to its big budget 50 crores)
    4. Release during INDIA V/S AUSTRALIA cricket matches(3 matches held in that week) & could have netted around 30 crores in week 1 instead of 24 crore……netted around 6 crore in week 2 jz bcz of 2-3 shows at multiplexes, due to APKGK & JAIL…..could have netted 10-12 crores, if it would have4-5 shows…

ONLY 3 IDIOTS can beat WANTED & will be the biggest HIT of 2009….

I think everyone should admit it….its true that Aamir khan, akshay kumar, Big b are uncomparable on their place but….There is no comparison with SRK….he has ruledd Boolywood from 2 decades almost….
I love each of the great actors of Bollywood.
Simple is that, whenever we have to declare that whether he is good or not, he is compared with SRK….
SRK is the standard for comparison….he is the most popular among all lovely actors
