The 3rd award category of the year is The best on screen couple / jodi of the year 2008, which began with the sizzling chemistry between Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai in Jodha Akbar, the Dhoom 2 stars made the epic historical special.
Then came the next superhit of the year, Race with Bipasha Basu and Saif Ali Khan rocking with some great chemistry in a couple of chartbusters.
The biggest disappointment of the year was by far the much hyped Akshay – Saif – Kareena starrer Tashan. It was also Saif and Kareena first movie together after their much-talked relationship, it was also rumoured that the two fell in love while filming for the box-office dud.
July saw the release of Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, the teenage romance clicked big time with the audience. Imraan Khan and Genelia D’Souza turned into overnight teen icons. Then came the King with the queen of hearts in Singh Is King, Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif carried their fantastic chemistry from the 2007 blockbuster Welcome. Later last year, Katrina teamed up with real life boyfriend Salman Khan, but the result was a box-office disaster.
On December 12th 2008, Yashraj Films released their biggest film of 2008, Rab Ne Bana DI Jodi starring Shahrukh Khan and Anushka Sharma. Anushka made an instant impact with the audience and shared great chemistry with Khan.
The year ended with the box-office hurricane Ghajini. Aamir Khan and tamil star Asin Thottumkal were the last star onscreen couple of the year!
