Udta Punjab has performed fairly well on its first weekday, just about passing the ‘Monday test’. The film has collected Rs 4.5 crore on Monday, which is a drop of 55% from Friday.
The collections are good, but like mentioned in one of our earlier reports, the film has to sustain well over the next few days and show growth this coming weekend.

This is pretty good considering the fact that monday was increased by the controversy so the drop was expected. I hope it will remain steady and collect 48-50 cr in its first week. 60 cr lifetime is sure so the film will at least be a plus, but I hope for a hit with 70 cr !

Kuch bhi! After a 12 crs Sunday, it fell down to 4 crores Monday (for me it was a bigger than expected drop for me as I was expecting around 5.5-6crores! Did I bash the movie? Did I say it is a bad movie? Did I say it don’t deserve a success?
