Salman Khan’s Tubelight has recorded the highest first weekend collections of 2017, which it has managed to achieve inspite of the film taking a significantly below-par opening compared to other Salman Khan movies in recent times.
The collections are at around the same level as Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees which released on fewer screens and also faced competition from Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil in the same weekend.
Tubelight has also managed to find a spot in the Top 15 Highest first weekend collections of all time. It takes the 14th spot. The collections of Tubelight pale in comparison to other big openers like Sultan, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.
The collections of the dubbed Hindi version of ‘Bahubali 2: The Conclusion’ is the highest first weekend collections of all time.

Hence proved , Bollywood is Khan dominated industry. None of the Trade Analyst is updating collection of Tubelight because they cant bear downfall of Khans. During Mohenjodaro every1 was against Hrithik though it was involved in a clash.
Neither they cam see some1 overcoming Khans.
Some sites which was criticising Htithik for Poor script sense ( Mohenjodaro time ) , is praising Salman for taking so called risk.
Lets not forget Hrithik experimented with Kites and Guzaarish when he was at his peak ( Lakshya , Koi Mil Gaya , Krrish , Dhoom 2 , Jodha Akbar )
They said Khan dominated industry , very well said.
It is definitely below par collections and looking not good but that is because Salman has set his benchmark and standards very high. As a fan I am disappointed by the collections however I am yet to watch the movie. Tickets are booked for tomorrow hence I will reserve my verdict until then.

Dear fans,….
I have watched tubelight yesterday evening and almost fell asleep. Don’t misunderstand me, I really like Salman but this time he should have rejected this film from Kabir because of:
1.Not repeating the clumsy character he played as BB. I had a dejavu.
2.The story (with all due respect) was not even that great. .
3. For Eid he should have gone for Entertainment. Guaranteed success. Even Hollywood repeats often stupid sequels to cash in for Holidays.
4. Hence forward scrutinize and please stop doing favors.
This film is gone and will fail regardless of Eid and Diehard fan – simply it does not have a repeat value. It is a torture to watch again.
