Tanu Weds Manu had an outstanding second weekend grossing around 28.25 crore nett. The drop for the first weekend is just 25% which is phenomenal. The film grossed 6.25 crore nett on Friday, 9.25 crore nett on Saturday and Sunday will come in at the 13 crore nett range.
The second weekend is the sixth biggest of all time after PK, Dhoom 3, 3 Idiots, Kick and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. It has beaten films like Chennai Express, Krrish 3 and Happy New Year.
The film has also become the highest grossing film of 2015 after its second weekend with business of around 97.50 crore nett. The 100 crore nett mark will hit on Monday. The film is on a phenomenal run on North India while other parts are excellent. The only dissapointment is the Gujarat / Saurashtra belt which is not performing as well as it should be.
PK is on a huge run in China and has grossed more in China than in any other Overseas market and is still very strong. More important than going above any other market is that it is on the verge of becoming the highest grossing non local ope English film.
The highest ever is a Russian film Stalingrad which has around $12 million and PK is sure to beat that by the end of business on Monday.The film is also set to cross the 700 crore Worldwide gross mark as it sits on 675 crore after nine days in China.
The daily business over the first nine days for PK in China is as follows. The film opened on 4600 screens.

Day Two – $2,460,000
Day Three – $1,894,000
FIRST WEEKEND – $5,328,000
Day Four – $1,046,000
Day Five – $654,000
Day Six – $845,000
Day Seven – $539,000
FIRST WEEK – $8,412,000

The drop from the first weekend is likely to be around 35% and a $15 million total in China is certain which will take it over $40 million in Overseas and 700 crore Worldwide The business in China also has chances of going close to $20 million.
Bombay Velvet has seen its collections crash like very few. The fall in second week was a huge 97%. The business of the film till date is as follows.
Week One – 22,07,00,000
Week Two – 68,00,000
Week Three – 5,00,000
TOTAL – 22,81,00,000
The film after doing a little over 22 crore nett in week one will not even reach 23 crore nett for lifetime business.
this is the first female lead film that will gross over 100 crs.

Meanwhile pk is looming to touch 20 million mark in China which will take its lifetime collection close to 45 million$ in overseas double than the so called overseas king mnik figures. Srk failed to collect 20 million $ despite being 3.7 billion complan boys while Aamir has collecting 15 million+ in non Indian living market like China. Srk films performed where Indiana are living in huge chunk, aamif ruling in places where Indians are very less.Huge huge achievement by ace khan.
