The domestic business of Tamasha has dropped quite significantly on its 5th day at the box office. A drop of less than 5% from Monday is considering to be excellent, a drop of 10% is normal, but the film has crashed by nearly 20% – sealing the fate of the Ranbir Kapoor starrer.
A positive trend during weekdays is what gives exhibitors the confidence to retain screenings of the film in Week 2. But apart from Day 2 (Saturday), ‘Tamasha’ has underperformed at the box office on all other days. The film is heading towards Flop / Below Average verdict.
In IndicineLBO, we predicted Rs 68 crore as the lifetime domestic total of Tamasha, but even that total could be out of reach for the film.
