Tamasha Day 4 (Monday) Box Office Collections

Tamasha was steady on its 4th day at the box office, but the collections were on the lower side. Apart from a couple of metro cities, the film had a fairly big fall almost all over.

The Ranbir Kapoor – Deepika Padukone starrer has collected Rs 5.07 crore on Monday, to take its 4-day total to Rs 43.3 crore. The film is now looking at first week business of around Rs 55 crore.

The drop from Friday was around 55%, which can be termed as ‘good’ if the opening was big. In Tamasha’s case, since the opening was below-the-mark, Monday had to be in the 6 crore range.

In comparison, Singh Is Bling collected 7.1 crore on Monday, Phantom collected 4.4 crore, Welcome Back 7.52 crore, Brothers 6.23 crore, Dil Dhadakne Do 5.77 crore.

It remains to be seen where the film goes from here, because Tamasha would have to show major growth in business in its second weekend to have any chance of recovering costs.

The makers though, have already celebrated the ‘success’ of their film.
