It’ll be superstar Akshay Kumar who will be  Rajinkanth’s nemesis in the sequel to Robot.

There were rumours that Hrithik Roshan or Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger would be signed to play the negative role in Robot 2, but it has now been confirmed that it’ll be none other than Akshay Kumar who will play the negative lead.

Akshay’s presence will significantly increase the reach of Robot 2 all over India. His role will be as big as Rajinikanth’s in the sequel to the super successful Enthiran.

The biggest superstar from the south will take on one of the most popular stars from the Hindi film industry. Can’t get bigger, can it?

  • Biggest Superstar from south against one of the popular stars. Hats off indicine for not using the tag in the main content. I know it’s good to bring back life from His fans by writhing in bold superstar akshay. No site I saw them tagging superstar for khiladi except for Rajnikant Sir the legend. Again no superstar tag for Arnold only Hollywood star.

  • Wow ! I still can’t believe Akki is playing the villain in Robot 2 . Akshay has said in an interview that he loves to play negative roles . In fact Ajnabee for me is one of the Best Performances of his career . He also won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor in a Negative Role . This movie is now the biggest movie of Akshay Kumar . Now with Rajni+Akki+Shankar this movie will get the biggest release all over India . Robot underperformed in Hindi version but since the last 5 years Robot has great TRP on TV and it has gained a Cult Status . Whenever this movie will come it will be the biggest movie of that year . With Bahubali and Robot 2 South Cinema is taking giant leaps forward . I hope Mohenjo Daro and Shivaay can deliver something solid and mindboggling . This will be the Best news for Akshay fans for a long time . Rajni and Akshay together it will be a pleasure for every cinema lover .

  • Hmm k….robot was an avg movie…. Except d last 30 min or so which was superb… Hope robot 2 is better movie all throughout and needless to say I expect d action …vfx to b better grander jaw dropping dn part 1 …

  • Man. This is going to be one hell of an entertainer. With Akhshay in it, they can mount it on any budget they want. With the pan india appeal, even a recovery of 250-300 crores would be a cakewalk. Bring it ON.
