Well, coming to the point, I am still adamant of saying that “Remaking South Movies are better than Remaking Garbage Flop Movie of Hollywood.” Because:
1- These south movies are just watched by a section of audiences, while the majority don’t watch them. In another way, we are promoting the South Industry as well. And the South Industry too remakes Bollywood movies. And it is a good sign and grows friendship!! Hence, the plot of the imperialist forces to divide North India and South India on the basis the so-called racial differences: Indo-Aryan and Dravidian will fail.
2- I don’t like licking the balls of Hollywood, certainly you, Anupama Chopra and Rajeev Masand do. These so-called critics don’t like Akki either!! Neither do you!! You just pretend to like Akki to please your Dostana Partner Buddha Ki Lungi!! (And Akki is my 3rd Favorite. I am a great fan of his comedy and action.)
What I am upset with the Bollywood Filmmakers is that they are bad marketers. They try to imitate Hollywood films instead of making out strategies to promote the uniqueness of Indian movies, hence they lick the balls of Hollywood!! Well, I say many Indians are not able to come out of the slave mentality imposed by British Imperial Forces yet…
3- Why do we blindly say that Hollywood Movies are class? Who decide that, class or classless? What is the standard parameter? And who set this standard parameter?
Why are not we critical to everything?? Why are we Indians submissive to the west?
Why do we say that Bollywood Movies are copied from Hollywood when we find some similarities? Why do we fail to apply to the logic in opposite direction? Why do we keep our lips tight when the Hollywood movies happen to similar with the Hindi movies made earlier?
Fine, I am not saying that Hindi Movies should not upgrade its standard in terms of technicality. They must do it. They must hire technical experts from Hollywood or other industries. As long as they transfer the technology, every penny is worth spending.
And I am using English because it is a medium of communication here!

@anand: I am not saying that all south Indian movies are bad. In fact,i love some of them like Makkhi,robot,magadheera etc. But i haven’t found any recent south remakes in bollywood that good( ghajini is an exception). All the kick,jai ho,holiday,ready,bodyguard,rawdy etc are averages to below average.. Whether it’s a tollywood remake and hollywood remake,it should have “content”. That’s it. And who said all hollywood movies are classy? Bang Bang has been rescripted by sujoy ghosh. It will be very much different from the K&D.

Watching sallu movies have become bore nowdays…the movies he makes are all remakes of south masala’s which are blockbusters…I have already seen them in south and seeing again in hindi is irritating..he never tries to do something different like Aamir or Hrithik.
There is no doubt that sallu has huge mass following…even i was his fan pre 1999. Post 2000 except tere naam he has never tried anything different…Look at Aamir & HR their each movie has vast difference than the previous one..
It is a great achievement if somebody remakes a flop movie and that turns out to be a blockbuster..It is a not a achievement if somebody remakes a south blockbuster movie…
People who say that remakes of south are better than other hollywood remakes are burden for our country and bollywood…These guys do not want bollywood to go to next level…they are sick and want to see same thing agian n agian…when a person losses innovative vision he is dead already…
We say SRK/Sallu are international stars but not even one of their movies has made it to oscar nominations..Aamir has done it through Laagaan and HR will do it someday…
