Sultan was outstanding on its 2nd Monday at the box office and the strong hold has confirmed ‘All Time Blockbuster’ status for the film. It will be the 6th ‘All Time Blockbuster’ of Salman Khan’s career, after Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hai Kaun, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (supporting role), Dabangg and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
The film has already collected Rs 267.31 crore in 13 days and at the end of 2 weeks, Sultan will cross the 275 crore mark. There are no releases this week, so the Ali Abbas Zafar directed film will have a open week at the box office, before the release of Dishoom on 29 July.
Sultan has more than doubled the previous highest grosser of the year (Airlift – 129 crore) and looking at the phenomenal level of business on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, the film should cross the 300 crore next week. By the end of its run, the lifetime business of Sultan could be very close to the total of the next three highest grossers (Airlift, Housefull 3 and FAN) combined.
In today’s times, it’s a massive achievement to have one 300 crore film to your credit, but Salman could have two films. To add to it, he now has four back-to-back 200 crore grossers.

Salman Khan is now a “Phenomenon” & SRK and Aamir Khan are mere spectators from here on … while Salman shines like a bright star, SRK is a fallen comet and Aamir flickers to brilliance every once in 2-3 years
