Sultan has collected Rs 36.54 crore on its opening day at the box office, as per official figures released by Yash Raj Films. The film was extraordinary at multiplexes, with multiplex chains recording the single highest day collections of all time, but it looks like the ‘Pre Eid’ factor has affected single-screen business, especially at muslim-dominated areas.
Sultan has recorded the 3rd highest opening day collections of all time, behind Happy New Year and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. The first day collections are at around the same level as Dhoom 3, which released on a non-holiday.

My prediction was 35-36cr on sultan prediction article but the way yesterday early estimates came I thought I go wrong with huge margin but with official and boi collection it’s seems to very close.
Today collection will be less than yesterday as per trend goes but it is not because of wom but due to confusion about Eid. So ideally sultan got benefit of eid holiday yesterday more though it was partial.
Going by these figures its proven that Dhoom 3 probably had the biggest draw in this decade. Its non-holiday figures are not even touched by anyone yet.
Now I think D3 long standing record of 102cr weekend is safe now. But sultan should do 150cr in extended weekend as the reviews are on positive side.
