Sultan has collected Rs 36.54 crore on its opening day at the box office, as per official figures released by Yash Raj Films. The film was extraordinary at multiplexes, with multiplex chains recording the single highest day collections of all time, but it looks like the ‘Pre Eid’ factor has affected single-screen business, especially at muslim-dominated areas.
Sultan has recorded the 3rd highest opening day collections of all time, behind Happy New Year and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. The first day collections are at around the same level as Dhoom 3, which released on a non-holiday.

There is a difference of 2 crores between your prediction and producer figures. It may be 5% but percentages are useless at such high collections. For real accuracy your prediction must be within 1 crore of actual figures.

Watched Sultan ! Anti Salman film ! He is so not himself in this movie which is such a breath of fresh air. There is a line in the movie where Sultan(salman) says that he is not a superman and it is exactly what is shown in the movie. Best performance of Salman luks like Salman grow as a Actor. He earns to be placed where he is in the movie with hard training albeit in a shorter frame of time. Anushka as Aarfa is brilliant again as she plays a Jaat wrestler to perfection who is trying to show that women don’t belong only in the kitchen. Then there is Sultan’s best friend Govind played by Anant Sharma who nails his role to perfection. Kumud Mishra as Aarfa’s father and Sultan’s initial coach is bang on his role. Randeep Hooda as fakir Singh, shines in his 10 min guest appearance as Sultan’s MMA coach.
Their Haryanvi accent is average ! and the English accent that comes from them is simply hilarious. Salman, Anant and Anushka are just too good in their Roles which is a major brownie point for this movie. Sultan has many moments who will give goosebumps.
I will definitely recommend this movie to everyone, especially to the non salman fans who always bash him fr stupid films…. as this one genuinely has a good story and good performance by the star cast.
