Business of Sultan has seen a bigger drop as compared to its 2nd Friday, but the film is still the first choice for the Hindi audience.
The new release of the week – Irrfan Khan’s Madaari – was promoted quite aggressively and the campaign was innovative too. But the result is quite poor, as the film has collected less than 2 crore on Day 1.
Can Sultan cross the 300 crore mark is a question that keeps getting asked, but there is still some uncertainty. The film has collected 280 crore in 2 weeks and 3 days, but has to still grow by 50% on Saturday and Sunday to have a chance of crossing the 300 crore mark.
It won’t be able to collect much after the release of ‘Dishoom’ on 29 July.

KICK collected 233crs years ago and SULTAN could only collect 280crs,this shows lallu’s lultan and specially lallu is nothing without EID.he knows very well that if he releases his his film without EDX then it may not bring in huge collections.lallu is very clever,he took last year 2015 EID PLUS DIWALI but could not leave this year EID to SRL because he knew that if he leaves EID then lultan may become disaster.i can assure everyone that lallu will never EID and so other actors should also release their films on EID.SRK has made a very not releasing his film RAEES and now he is suffering.
All depends on how Dishoom is received. Sultan may miss 300 crs club by 3-5 crores if Dishoom does well. Another 15 crs is guaranteed for Sultan irrespective of any release. Let’s hope it reaches 300 crs !!!!!!!!
So KICK collected 233crs 2yrs ago and lallu’s lultan could only collect 280crs on eid,which is a big holiday weekend.lallu knew very that if he had released lultan ond a normal weekend then his film could hav only collected 125crs.he does’nt leave eid bcoz he knows his week point and so i would want the other actors also to release their films on eid,so that their films can also collect.last year lallu took eid plus diwali and still could’nt leave this yeart to SRK .SRL hav made great mistake by not releasing RAEES on eid and now he is suffering.

I still think it will comfortably cross 300 cr. I watched it. Although the first half was bit boring but seconomic half picked up and overall it was a good one time watch movie.

MD has much bigger star who gives much bigger openings and pills more crowds while custom has an actor who despite getting a huge franchise, multistarrer, solo release struggles to cross 15 cr opening. Get some brain in your head. MD will easily beat custom even in worst case.
