Sultan continued to record very high collections in its 2nd week at the box office. The 16th day collection of the film is still at the same level as the 1st Monday (4th day) collection of a successful film like ‘Ki and Ka’ and its 16th day would still find a place in the Top 20 opening day collections of 2016.
The film has already achieved ‘All Time Blockbuster’ status. It’ll be one of the most profitable films of all time and the most profitable film ever for Yash Raj Films, beating their previous best – Dhoom 3.
Sultan will also finish as the third highest grosser of all time, behind PK and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
The lifetime total is inching closer to our LBO prediction of Rs 305 crore. If the growth is similar to last weekend, Sultan could collect anywhere between 14-18 crore in its third weekend, which would take its total to 290-295 crore.
‘Kabali’ hasn’t really made a big impact in North India, although ‘Sultan’ is running on very few screens and shows in the south.
