The legendary Yash Chopra is all set to return as director for the first time after Veer Zaara, which released way back in 2004.
After Darr in 2003, Chopra has directed just one film every decade – Dil Toh Pagal Hai in 1998, Veer Zaara in 2004 and now after 8 years he returns yet again with a film starring Shahrukh Khan.
Known for casting the most popular female stars in the industry and presenting them beautifully in his films, Yash Chopra has cast Katrina Kaif as the lead actress and Anushka Sharma in A supporting role.
The shooting begins today in Mumbai, with the theatrical release scheduled for Diwali 2012.
Uday Chopra confirmed the news on Twitter “Launching my dad’s film today (Sunday) with a little pooja at Yashraj Films.. shoot starts tomorrow with SRK and Katrina Kaif. Dad directing after Veer – Zaara”
The music will be composed by A R Rahman with Gulzar as the lyricist.
