Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan met Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) President Raj Thackeray on Sunday to assure him that Mahira Khan, who plays the female lead in his upcoming film ‘Raees’, won’t be visiting India to promote the film.
The actor also promised the MNS chief that he wouldn’t work or engage with any Pakistani artist.
“Shah Rukh Khan met Thackeray at his residence a short while ago and gave his assurance. He has also committed to not engage any Pakistani actors in any of his future film ventures” MNS Chitrapat Sena chief Ameya Khopkar informed the media soon after the meeting.
Shah Rukh was accompanied by the co-producer of the film, Ritesh Sidhwani.

Khopkar also informed the media that Shah Rukh was concerned about rumours floating on social media website that Mahira was likely to come to India next month. Hence, the actor sought appointment with Thackeray to apprise him of the real situation.
In view of his clarifications, the MNS will not oppose the January release of ‘Raees’.
It is really a sad state how these cheap local thugs are bullying the celebrities like SRK. SRK is a rich man and has a global reach. Then, why pay heed to these cheap thugs? It won’t affect him even if Raees can’t released. So, he should have defied these thugs and exposed them globally using his film Raees. Disappointing.

Dude, it’s true that Salman shares a good relationship with Thakre family. Let me remind you that Salman never tries to appease the thakre goons every time. Salman does take his own stand when he needs to, whether it’s in favor of Thakres or against them.
E.g. It’s only Salman who dared take a stand for the art/film industry and the truth when everybody was following a popular trend of bashing Pakistani artists created by Thakre goons. That’s why Thakres never hesitated to harshly criticize Salman in many occasions.
Salman is Salman. He is a man of his own opinion and never bows down before any politicians. Having friendship with anyone is an altogether different matter.
