The theatrical trailers of Ajay Devgn’s ‘Shivaay’ and Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ (ADHM) are out and if the response to the trailers is anything to go by, then it’s going to be advantage ‘Shivaay’ during Diwali this year – atleast as far as the opening is concerned.
While the trailer of Shivaay was unanimously applauded for its visuals and grandeur, the trailer of ADHM has been criticised for being too confusing and underwhelming.
A quick look at the ‘likes vs dislikes’ ratio on Youtube, makes it pretty clear. Shivaay trailer has 340,068 likes against 12,199 dislikes. ADHM trailer has 39,422 likes against 8,643 dislikes. In other words, more than 97% people people have ‘liked’ the Shivaay trailer, whereas only 82% of people have liked the trailer of ADHM. The difference isn’t huge but 18% dislikes is a big number.

Shivaay hands down.The efforts put in by the makers is quite evident in the trailer.
Unless it is panned by the critics and audience it looks like the winner in this clash.Also it looks like a movie meant to release on a festive weekend and has a clear edge in single screens.Budget is the only concern for thr movie.
Adhm trailer is decent but I have full confidence in Karan as a director.He faltered with Soty but adhm zone of romance belongs to him.Also the songs are expected to be chartbusters.And Ranbir is on a different league when it comes to acting.Its a shame he’s compared with youngsters who can’t act half as good as him.
Personally I want adhm to emerge victorious in this clash due to my dislike towards Ajay but it seems I will be watching Shivaay this Diwali unless it gets terrible reviews so I could convince my family to decide othetwise.
Shivay Trailer is better,but i doubt whether it can beat ADHM or not on opening Day.
This itself is a victory for 1 film old director Ajay Devgn over so called Superstar director of 6 films Kjo…It proves VISION is required for direction & NOT PAST RECORD.

For me , shivaay is much much ahead in terms of appreciation for the trailer ( the way you have calculated 97% and 82% , that way mohenjo daro was 87%, so not the best of ways to interpret appreciation for the trailer ).

ADHM in India – 160+
Shivaay in India – 70-95
ADHM overseas – $ 18+ million
Shivaay overseas – $3-$5 million

Shivaay trailer is phenomenal and the impact it has made on audience mind is simply outstanding. Meanwhile, ADHM has lose its standing in the trailer impact. Even in musical department, Shivaay is outstanding. Shivaay music has its originality and so much repeat value which is superb.
Trailer impact matters the most and we everybody know that. So for me its Shivaay.
It will do wonder at the box office though some people won’t agree. Looking at the Shivaay trailer, no one will say that its directed, produced and acted in by the single person.
Shivaay makers are doing fantastic job by releasing their new still and songs by less hype and it has make solid impact everywhere.
It was even till teaser and 2 songs of ADHM was launched but post underwhelming trailer, its advantage Shivaay..
Today I have watched Rocky handsome on Max. I am Damnn!!!!!! surprised that rocky handsome is very good movie. It is most underrated movie of the year. Action sense are are superb. John Abraham has done a superb job as Rocky. Emotional sense are also good. I am sure that of bigger star like salman , aamir and Srk are in Rocky handsome it will be huge blockbuster.
