‘Shivaay’ and ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ sustained at opening day levels on Day 2 at the box office. The Ajay Devgn starrer held on above the 10 crore mark, while the Karan Johar directed film collected Rs 13 crore at the box office.
The trend is normal for ‘Pre-Diwali’ releases, as Krrish 3 (similar release period 3 years ago) had also shown a small drop on its second day. Sunday too will be affected by ‘Laxmi Pooja’, but collections do tend to show an upwards trend evening onwards.
Monday (tomorrow) is the biggest day for film business in the year. In the last three years, all three films have surpassed the 35 crore mark. Krrish 3 in 2013 recorded the highest single-day collections of all time, Happy New Year and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo also set all-time single day records. So it remains to be seen if ’Shivaay’ and ‘ADHM’ can take advantage of the big holiday and put up big numbers on Monday.
Currently, the gap between the two films is Rs 6.1 crore. ‘Shivaay’ is the costlier film and has under-performed in the last two days, so its total has to draw level with ‘ADHM’ on Monday and sneak ahead in the ‘Post Diwali’ period. There are two 2 weeks before the release of ‘Rock On 2’ (which has no buzz), so there is enough time if the films manage to find acceptance amongst the audience.

Shivay in big danger zone as of now as the film which does well in multiplexes will zoom fast as compared to single screens.no doubt both movies will HV huge Monday but adhm has big advantage in multiplexes.as of now adhm looks like a winner just like rustom.

ADHM is super bakwas film it’s like add is like BMW and delivery is Maruti in all promos they showed ASH in a lead role but Anshuka dominated in the movie Ash has hardly 20mins in the movie.

Watched both ADHM & Shivaay today. Since I don’t have much time these days, I am gonna just leave some brief comments on my experiences of both films.
#ADHM
An entertaining and fun riding 1st half! Certainly, enjoyable!
But it has nothing new but mash up of his earlier films like KHNH and KANK with some concept of friendship of girls and boys from MPK.
Ranbir rocked. Anuska rocked. Fawad excelled.
Aish looked smoking hot in every frame but she is in the film only to do lusty scenes. She made entry only in the second half.
It is not suitable for the family audiences at all. Not even for the married couple. There is so much betrayals and stuffs of extramarital affairs.

Shivaay starts on ordinary node. Shivaay is a mountain hiker and hiking guide in Himalya. He and Olga fell in love and had a girl child. She is a mute by birth, her mom left them.
As she grew up, when she came to know her mom is alive, she desperately wants to her. Her gather took her to Bulgaria to make her meet her mom.
She gets kidnapped. The real story starts.
Although, it was advertised as an action film, it tackled some hard hitting issues like human trafficking and flesh trade.
It is a must watch although sometimes the pace of the film slows down. In short, it is Ajay Devgn’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
Well shot, well directed, well acted.
Suitable for all sections of audiences. It at least deserves to be a hit. Else, it will prove these so-called intellectual audiences of multiplexes in India to be hypocrites.

Ajay fans can take solace from the fact that he was defeated not badly by King khan which is the biggest achievement for Ajay after being thrashed by Ranbir despite Shivaay having such a fabulous trailer

Many people after bad mouthing Shivaay especially Shah Rukh fans will actually have a split personality guaranteed after watching Shivaay. Its either they did not watch it or watched it but could not even post anything about it like Akkians Salmaniacs and Greek god fans. Shivaay has outclassed Ra1 by miles,due to hypothetical Plex audiences if proven may be numbers of that exciting but the movie has touched all of our heart. Excellent job Ajay Sir ,Monday will lessen the gap ,the samevtrend will follow like Jthj SOS clash only this time they will be enough time to overtake adhm by Wednesday maximum
