Sher Khan EID 2013: Sohail Khan confirms

Dabangg, Bodyguard and this year’s Ek Tha Tiger have all smashed box-office records. What’s common between those films? Well, it’s the release date. Salman Khan created a new festive weekend for EID and he literally conquered it with back-to-back blockbusters.

A lot of eye-brows were raised when Balaji announced the release date of their keenly-awaited sequel to Once Upon A Time In Mumbai. Several questions were being asked both in the industry and on the internet; Has Salman decided to slow down a little after Dabangg 2, given his health condition? With Balaji scheduling their film for EID, will Salman back out and let Akshay have a solo release? If he indeed wants a release for EID 2013, which film will be opt for – No Entry sequel or Sher Khan?

Finally, we have some official news. Sohail Khan has confirmed that they are starting Sher Khan in January 2013 and will release the film during EID. Priyanka Chopra is likely to be cast as the female lead (unconfirmed).

It’ll be interesting to see if Balaji now back out and postpone the release of Once Upon A Time In Mumbai 2. Or are we set for an epic clash?
