Sarabhai vs Sarabhai was a popular show on television, which gained a cult following after the conclusion of the first season in 2006.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the show, actors Satish Shah (Indravadhan), Ratna Pathak (Maya), Rajesh Kumar (Rosesh), Rupali Ganguli (Monisha), Sumeet Raghavan (Saahil) and Deven Bhojani (director and actor) landed up at producer J D Majethia’s house to celebrate the acclaimed show.
The show ran for 69 episodes and every episode was popular with the audience.
While Majethia has always said that he doesn’t have any plans of producing Sarabhai vs Sarabhai Season 2, actor Naseeruddin Shah whose wife played the role of Maya Sarabhai, feels the show must return.
“I didn’t watch the show with regularity when it was on air but when I watch stray episodes on flights, I seriously think the show should have had a second season. It was far ahead of its time and it was beautifully written”

Excellent show. Easily the best Indian Sitcom till date by a huge margin. Hope they make a season 2 though Deven Bhojani had confirmed there won’t be a sequel.

Sumit Sambhal Lega reminds me of Sarabhai VS Sarabhai. But to be honest, its nowhere close to the benchmark set by Sarabhai. Badly miss the show.
