@indicine plz update Aamir Khan Box Office Analysis.
u hvv wrong info on salmans career analysis. most of dis is wrong. 1st thing is biwi ho toh aise was a hit nt flop. jai ho was a semi hit. d films u call flops…sum were hits n even average nt flop. salman owns like half of d hindi fiilm industry records follwed by aamir.
@arjun, wake up sid is avrg or abv avrg, b4 2010 his mvies need nly 45-50cr to becm hit-sup.hit…
@hrithik, i m nt srk fan i spoke truth… And i dnt hate salman too, bt i hate his fans who present on dis site, and smtym i thnk even ur genuine thinker bt wen cms to truth, u also becm worse.. Be in unity dnt bash any star, say truth dsnt matr abt that, bt wen salman fans start bashin on Hr that i cnt and nvr vil tolerate….
@Indicine, i want to knw srk and hr’s (semi hit, hit, sup. Hit, bb, atbb) movies in career, and its success ratio from total movies in career…
lol Hritik has only 20 solo release till bang bang in his 14 yrs career so stop barking Hritik fans
and after 3 back2back unsuccessful
(Na tum jano na hum, mujhse dosti karoge, main prem ki diwani hu)
Hritik came 2 limited release
@indicine how much shahrukh’s films hav collected til now…. publish an article regarding the same.plzz hav a particular section on the lines of boxofficemojo.. to show the list of total grossses average gross n worldwide gross of an actor…
in sha Allah ur site wil increase its visitors multiple times… @anand nice analysis
@hrithik dont advice me to not to comment on Salman page. coz u guys comment on SRK page…. and yes i agree even flops like saawariya, heroes should be removed from the list …. it should be SALMAN starrer only … not guest appearances ….
and common guys who ur trying to fool – KKHH and Baghban would hav been the same if sallu wasnt part of them…as both movies had solid content ….
Singham Returns advance booking got a very good response in NCR N RAJASTHAN
@INDICINE
PLEASE organise a contest for singham opening predictions similar to kick
If HAHK lifetime collect 25cr which is ATBB because HAHK broken SHOLAY collection. And after KARAN ARJUN also ATBB because K A collection is 30cr+. I use word only ( IF ).pls don’t be over thinking.
hey indicine can u please tell what is the criteria for a film to become an atbb if its not the highest grosser if it only depends upon costs and how is ek tha tiger an atbb because budget was 75 crore and it earned in the range of 190 crores and same goes for dabangg how is dabang an atbb because dabang’s budget was 30 crore and it earned 145 crores so how it is atbb if this the criteria then akshay’s omg is also an atbb and ranbir’s yjhd is also an atbb and grand masti can also be atbb please explain
@indicine, pls correct KURBAAN is not FLOP. Kurbaan is Average. Can you search Google pls correct it.. what about akki career analysis? Pls analysis.
@Ankita singh Many people like me watched KKHH for Salman only. His screen space in KKHH was pretty big and his role took the story forward and finally he handed Kajol to Srk who was crying in 1 corner with his daughter and mother.lol
@Legend khan Don’t say that Srk has no record. He currently holds the paid preview record.lol
I wasn’t a fan of salman befo wanted . Now i am a huge fan of him….after wanted , he is the biggest star ! I like srk also , he is best in giving wondrful movie with a great acting skill and salman give us a entertaining movie ! Both are superstar but both have diff persona of delivring movie. So , arguing is just waste of time. ! I think wanted is the best movie of salman .
Even Rajpal Yadav Wud have given better expressions than Darky King
SAJAN- sanjay dutt in lead role,
jeet- sunny deol in lead,
kkhh-srk starrer,
biwi no. 1- multistarrer,
hssh- multi starrer
,baghban- guest appearance,
mujhse shadi karogi- completely overshadowed by akshay kumar,
no entry- anil kapoor in lead,
partner- overshadowed by govinda
Yeah legend how can when deliver a movie like mari gold which earns 1000 crore world wide salman the king
Great analysis. Salman has now joined Akki in the list. Salman has 4 atbb along with Aamir. He is in his own league now. The ultimate entertainer. Though he also have many flops but there are justifying reason for that. As he was continuesly doing 3-4 movies per year till 2009 since he started to do less films mostly two per year. He back on track. Just see how no of films affect the success rate. Facts till 2001 based on indicine verdict. Salman total film-36, success (including avg and better)-19, success ratio-53%, Srk till 2001 no. of films-34, success-16 success ratio-47%, after that he had two releases per year and result was good as all films are success. In 2004 he had 4 films 2 hits while two failures Yljd and swades. So doing a limited film is plus point no matter how big star he/she has. For example Akshay still doing 3-4 films each year if he had done two film max each year,he has equally good success ratio like others. Till 2001 Aamir did 29 films success-12 success ratio-41%.
As per my analysis we can see Aamir is behind both Salman and Srk if we take success rate or big hits. That’s why he don’t have large fan base because fan following is things which comes early in career and becomes stronger. He also lacked that charisma to attract viewers like Salman did with his innocence and body building while Srk did with his extraordinary romantic hero skills. So Aamir got huge failures and his success was also not big till Lagaan, but since he came back after 2005 he is became strong too just because he did 1 films each year and also doing good films. So being an Aamir fan i loved the way he taken his career at different height both critically and commercially and now sitting at top. So this step to do one or two films each year is big plus for every actor and one can definitely see how it is beneficial by seeing aamir,hr,srk, salman career analysis. Strange thing that Salman had 25 hits while srk has 27 (adding hny) according to indicine,up down of personal life doesn’t affected him.
A big Congratulations to Salman Khan. Putting 2000 cr on board is not a joke. Salman has seen a lots of ups and down throughout his journey in Bollywood but after 2009 , he is looking invincible on Indian B.O.
Though Jai Ho was little disappointment but its interesting to see that even his worst performance is leading over other superstars best performance (e.g. Akki, Ajay etc). This shows his supremacy.
But I have only one doubt and that also will be cleared by next Diwali (PRDP is releasing).
My doubt is, all his recent blockbusters were released during Eid period and when he chosen some other date, he was not all that successful (most recent example is Jai Ho).
So will he be able to prove himself even without an Eid release? This is a million dollar question and may be, next Diwali we’ll get the answer.
But I appreciate his work and wishing him all the best for his upcoming movies.
great article.
@sky
Great unbiased analysis,your comment rocks!!!
@Indicine, HDDCS was not a semi-hit. It was more than a Hit. Hum Tumare Hai Sanam was also a Hit. Kurban was also a success. To me, as far as I am concerned, Tere Naam was also a clean hit.
@Sid_Original, Kare Bhi Kya Kare!! Change karke aapki Suit follow Karna Pada!! SRK fans like to steal others’ IDs or Copy others’ Names. Woh Bhi Bina Credit Diye, exactly their icon does while copying other movies. LOL!
@SRK fans, stop crying!! These are facts. Learn to accept the truth. I hope Indicine will also publish a similar article on SRK after HNY. If you can consider Deewana a SRK film, you must consider KKHH a Salman Khan film as well. Ask KJo, was it possible or such a big hit without Salman Khan.
love u @indicine for this great article…
Hence Proved :
the Shahenshah, the Baadshah & the Zille Ilaahi of Indian Cinema ever is none other than….

some of the idiot salman fans like anand, tiger, navin always want to know why salman is not called as king?
look at his success ratio & you guys will get the answer.
@sachin11 that crying in one corner is Acting … watch sallu cry in jaanemann song – sau dard – u will start laughing in one corner …
leave aside all the khans, kumars, roshan and bachchan, the one and the only original superstar of Bollywood is Rajesh Khanna. He gave almost 14 back to back superhits in a row and that too in a span of just 3 years. No one can match that incredible feat. SUPERSTAR word was invented for him and he was the phenomenon that still cannot be matched. So please do not fight, the topic is done and dusted. At his peak his two films ran at the same time with packed houses, no one can dare to repeat that craze.
