UNDISPUTED KING OF BOLLYWOOD – SALMAN KHAN
arjun kapoor 2 your list of star ranking
is very good but please put ranbir kapoor ahead
of hrithik
Kuch kuch Hota hai is Salman’s film?
Hats off to the writer.
Faith in humanity lost.
Awesome ..Look forward to seeing him in some awesome movies. Turning a blind eye towards dumb fanwars that don’t affect anyone anyhow.
@Indicine, as per your logic if Ek villain collect 140cr ATBB ( note.Budget or costs is 35cr).
Last year YJHD collect around 188cr only blockbuster, budget or costs is around 45cr, so why not ATBB? Can you reply me @admin.
@Indicine, how many have blockbuster of BIG B?
@Indince, Amazing job though I have some 10% disagreements to your articles. Thank you.
I have changed my name ‘Anand’ to ‘Anand_The Original’ because a SRK fan has stolen my name. He is not changing it even on my constant insistances.
SOME truths about the rivalries among the Khan trio supremo.
Salman Khan- Carefree (Don’t give a damn attitude)
SRK- Marketing Expert
Aamir- Marketing Genius
Salman- does many movies unlike the latter two. He depends on his stardom and fan base to give hits.
SRK- Carefully chooses the films and sells them via months-long-promotions by creating hypes and his stardom.
Aamir- Chooses crisp and super scripts. Tactful Marketing. Utilizes his image of Mr. Perfectionist in the most proper way.
Many times, hypes and vibes are created when Salman’s films are released. SRK comes in that time, does some wanton events and starts his films’ promotions to steal away the limelight from Salman’s films. However, Salman’s films remain unaffected even though SRK gets what he wants.
The most interestingly, Aamir comes at the right time before or after a film or event by SRK and launches his own things. SRK does everything and its results are being snatched away by Aamir.
It’s like a Cheetah that hunts down a prey and makes it ready for food but only to give away to the lions. Jo Aata Toh Baat Mein, Lakin Sab Kuch Leke Chala Jaata Hai.
Some examples:
-RNBDJ vs Ghajini
-CE Release vs Dhoom 3 Poster
-Jai Ho Trailer Release vs HNY Poster
-Jai Ho Release vs SRK’s publicity of getting injured during the shooting
-Kick Trailer Release vs SRK’s Kidzania Event
-Kick Releases vs SRK twitter invitations #AskSrk
-HNY Promotional Activities SLAM vs PK Poster
-HNY Trailer Release vs PK Second Poster
On the other hand, Aamir gets Salman’s fans support because Dushman Ka Dushman Dost Hota Hai….
Salman’s Reactions: He blocks all the major Holidays for the releases of his films without any second thought as he doesn’t care if his films flop. Failures do not affect him because he is used to flops, super hits, blockbusters more than the other two are. While SRK and Aamir are always careful about their moves because failure does affect their image and reputation they ride on.
Salman’s disagreements with SRK are justified. Similarly, SRK’s anger towards Aamir is also justified.
Kehte Hai Na, everything is fair in love and war. And it is a BO war among the Khan trio.
Too much fun!!!!
This is all are strictly about their professional careers.
Congrats to some genuine Akki fans like @aeeyy, at least Akki holds record.
@Indicine, out of 2,000 Crores earnings, how many Crores are investment and how many are profits? Sorry if I misunderstand anything.
@Ankan & Aman mathur : Why are u guys so concerned about Salman ? better go n comment on HNY & Bang Bang articles. Indicine have included ‘Hello’ as Salman movie. Why are u not asking it to exclude from the list ?? hypocrites !!!!!!!!
@Aman Mathur, why are you crying out, dude?? Just accept the facts. KKHH worked also because of Salman Khan. It worked mostly because of the reunion of two superstars jodi of Karan Arjun. The film was marketed in that way. Even KJo said that it would not be this big hit without Salman Khan.
So, should we say SRK’s superstardom began with Devdas, which was a remake.
@Aman Mathur, And Baghban??? Though it is Amitji’s film, the sweet Prem character that Salman played in the film is crucial and can’t be ignored. One can’t imagine the film without this character.
I agree Salman is not consistent as Srk & doesnt hand pick great scripts as Aamir but the craze n stardom he commands in industry is never seen before. He may not be a great actor but a great Entertainer & Human Being (mistakes does happen with Humans) !!!!!!!! I dont think anybody will command such fan following in near future. Hail Salman Khan, The Megastar of our times !!!!!!!!!!!
Corrections plz, she has just two atbbs which were mpk and hahk.. Dabangg and ett were just blockbusters.. Aamir has most atbbs with raja hindustani, 3 idiots, and dhoom3..
List clearly shows Salman is superstar since mpk cuz 1989-1991 he had 4 continues success with 1 atbb 1 superhit and 2 hits.
If KKHH and Baghban are to be removed from Salman’s film list, Baabul, Salame Ishq, Sawariya, Hello, Heroes etc are also need to be removed from the list.
Don’t play double standard, Aman Mathur..
@ indicine Kurbaan wasnt flop check this-
1990 saw one film release starring Khan,Baaghi: A Rebel for Love, was a box office success.[18]followed by three moderately successful films in 1991,Patthar Ke PhoolandSanam Bewafa,Kurbaan. Kuch KUCH Hota Was Salman Movie ..
Big Lol To Writer ..
#Salman Have 4 BB
@INDICINE ARE YOU MAD???…HOW COME “KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI” IN THE LIST??? IT’S SRK’S MOVIE ……PLEASE REMOVE……LIKE THAT 1 ATBB IN HIS KITTY??..WHAT IS THIS????…HE HAS DONE ONLY SPECIAL APPEARANCE IN THAT……..THIS IS NOT FAIR…I HOPE YOU DO REPLY THIS AND TAKE ACTION…..
@yo yo rk I also want SIR RANBIR to be ahead of hrithik in rankings but since hrithik is currently having a dream run at the b.o. it will need a miracle for SIR RANBIR to beat hrithik 3 years.
But dont worry once the khans retire an intense battle btwn ranbir and hrithik for no.1 position
@Anand: Lol, good to see you have followed my suit of placing the Original tag!!! :D
@Indicine Team: As per my memory HDDCS was a Hit in 1999. I remember at that time there was news that Bhai had 2 back to back hits and couldn’t deliver a hat-trick as Hello Brother was a Flop!!! Also getting tickets
Also i have a proof which shows that HDDCS was a hit..
“The film was a blockbuster at the Indian box office, becoming the highest grossing of the Bollywood films of 1999 with INR 200 million. It also did well in the foreign box office with INR 85 million.
The year 1999 was phenomenal for Salman Khan as he delivered three biggest blockbusters and highest grossing movies of the year – Biwi No.1, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Hum Saath Saath Hain.”
Oops..forgot to add..also getting tickets at that time was hard as it was the most awaited summer movie in 1999.. :)
Very happy to know he’s doing good, both in terms of his career n as a human being.
Aamir has the best succes ratio with last flop/disaster way back as mela
No doubt salman khan is enjoying the beat phase of his career..u can easily figure this out by looking at the above chart as there has been no looking back for him after DABANGG
salaam e ishq n jaaneman r average films n not flops
Tere naam was semi hit, jai ho also semi hit, hum sath sath hai was blockbuster, Ett was not atbb.
