Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has become only the second actor in the history of Indian Cinema, to take his movie, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, into the 300 crore club.
Like Rajkumar Hirani, who directed the first ‘300 crore’ blockbuster, director Kabir Khan too deserves a major share of credit for directing a film that connected with both the masses and classes of the country.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan is still going strong at the domestic box office, even though Ajay Devgn’s latest release ‘Drishyam’ is also doing well.
The film has proved to be lucky for Salman Khan. Bajrangi Bhaijaan crossed the 200 crore mark on the day when his last Eid release ‘KICK’ celebrated its 1st anniversary. Now, the film has joined the ‘300 crore club’ exactly 21 years after the release of Sooraj Barjatya’s Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, which remains one of the biggest blockbusters in the history of Indian Cinema.

Today is a huge day for Salman fans . In 2009 3 Idiots became the Highest Grossing movie of Bollywood . In 2010 and 2011 Salman dominated the Box Office but was unable to beat the record of 3 Idiots . In 2012 ETT was released on 15th August which was directed by Kabir Khan . ETT came very close but could not break the record of 3 Idiots . It also could not enter 200 CR . In 2014 PK became the Highest Grossing movie of Bollywood . This year nobody expected any movie to do 300 CR or become an All Time Grosser but BB has reduced the margin and has now entered the 300 CR Club . Every time Kabir and Salman come together they challenge the Highest Grossing movie but are not unable to beat .
It feels so good to see movies that deserve the money they earned, at the top of the charts.
Dhoom 3 was an average movie but still earned huge. But, was beaten by 2 classics in 2 years.
