It’s confirmed now, producer Sajid Nadiadwala, who has never directed a film before, will make his directorial debut with Salman Khan’s KICK.
After a disastrous response to Joker, which released yesterday, it was Shirish Kunder who made the announcement on Twitter “Sajid Nadiadwala will be directing KICK. He had originally envisioned the project and I feel he is the best person to bring it to life.”

In the past, Sajid has produced successful films like Judwaa (1997), Mujshe Shaadi Karogi (2004), Heyy Babyy (2007), Housefull (2010), Housefull 2 (2012) amongst others.
KICK is scheduled to hit theatres during Christmas 2013.

Till now almost all of the south indian superhit remakes have become block busters in bollywood, and kick would be no exception. It is another all time block buster in the making, because the original telugu movie itself was that good and salman suits that role better than other actors (though aamir,hrithik,akki,ajay would have been equally good) and now with sajid directing it instead of srk’s ‘boy friend’ shirish, it is a 101% guaranteed blockbuster if not an another ATBB. This srk fans keep on goat stammering that ‘srk remake nahi kartha’ but the truth is that don,paheli,billu are all remakes and except for don all were commercial disasters. Srk simply south indian movies remake isliye nahi kartha because most of the south indian blockbusters are mostly “action masala entertainer” movies with powerful characters which need ‘serious& powerful’ acting and not this ‘bakri khan’ acting. he doesnt even know how to act in a ‘powerful& larger than life’ roles, and he can do only those g@yish romantic love stories with his ‘live-in boy friend’ karan jho with his goat stammering. I dare ur srk to do a south indian remake and turn it into a atleast ‘superhit’, if not a blockbuster. He is simply incapable. And the south indian remakes in bollywood are much better than his ‘hamming and goat stammering’ movies just like him. And mark my word his next movies will keep on “under performing” at the any office, and he will be forced to do a south indian remake, and too it would be a romantic story again and not an action one, because “EK BAKRI KABHI BHI TIGER NAHI BAN SAKTHA”. Same with srk, woh hamesha bakri hi rahega.
