After a terrific beginning to 2016 with Airlift, we have yet another film that’s looking good for Akshay Kumar. Inspired by true incidents, Rustom is being directed by Tinu Suresh Desai.
The film will be presented by Neeraj Pandey, who has previously directed Akshay in classics like Special 26 and Baby.
The first look poster is out already and it’s less than a month since Rustom went on floors. There is a reason for putting the poster out so early. Notice the top of the poster, it clearly highlights the release date of the film – 12th August 2016.
Releasing posters so early, sends out a clear message that the makers are confident about the subject and they want the big release date (Independence Day weekend).
Mohenjo Daro is also releasing during the same weekend and the makers of the film will be worried as the trade is warming up to Akshay Kumar’s Rustom. More so because films on real life incidents (Airlift, Neerja) are doing well at the box office.

Everything looks good about this movie except the clash with another content rich biggie. I hope they will not let their ego get better of them unlike SRK/SLB.
This is so nice… and quite interesting… don’t know about clash but I desperately want it to release on independence weekend…
airlift was really good and looking at the director behind rustom i think this one will be great too but im concerned about housefull 3. the team behind housefull 3 isnt known for their good work. so housefull3 is the only think which could hurt akkis rustom collections. but if housefull3 is good then rustum will earn even more
Akshay is great in every genre…he is making patriosm genre big in india
was not having huge expectations from it but poster has really increased the expectations

bt we all know Mohenjodaro is huge project! nd it deserves a solo release…that they announced way earlier.
Rustom might be a quality film…trust me guys, it will do the same or better collection in a normal friday without a clash.
No matter what As an Actor Akshay Kumar is Fabulous . Hats Off to his acting skills . Most versatile Actor I have ever seen.
Omg this year too much film and all are looking must watch and epic with content film of each and every star releasing their film, from airlift , neerja , sultan ,dangal, fan ,raees, rustom, shivay, mohenjodaro, azhar biopic, ms dhoni biopic, befikre, adhmj even many hollywood films like civil war , batman vs superman lots of film to watch out but problem is i cant afford to watch all in hall and this govt too has increased the service tax ,oh god why !
Seems to be based on the Nanavati vs State of Maharashtra case (the same case which Vinod Khanna’s Achanak was inspired from)

I meant compared to Mohenjo daro d budget is low and Airlift budget too was not that much. Some big stars do movie not necessarily being high. I think it’s even an advantage sometimes especially when considering it’s overall verdict.
Another Gadar and Laagan in content and boxoffice. Both Film will be a boxoffice success and both film will cross 100cr. Amoung these two film which one do think is Gadar and which one is Laagan in terms of boxoffice and Content as all the films are looking promising in content and definately boxoffice but one will surpass the other as it happen in 2001 Laagan and Gadar

It is just like 2015 all over again…People expected Dilwale to win the clash but Bajirao Mastaani surprised everyone… People expecting MJD to beat Rustom..But Rustom surprise everyone…
Rustam the title of the movie is not special like Air lift, Neerja and queen.
But Akshay Kumar present and this new poster make it very special.

That was time when his 7 back to back movie get flop and he suddenly elect Jaanvar and sang harsh .
Life get changed .
Then in 2007 4 back to back super hit
In 2008 block buster like welcome and Singh is king.
Then all movie get average and above average and semi hit and hit and now super hit. And block buster like rowdy.
Twinkle twinkle stars works for him.
She wrote a book and it become best seller of the year even Amir Khan have launched his book on immigration day.
But Rustam will be bigger than air lift and. Neerja.

I think Mohenjodaro will move out. Not because Hrithik is scared, but out of reapect. Afterall they are good buddies and good neighbours. Huge budget films like Mohenjodaro should come on Christmas.
But a problem is housefull3 disastrous collections affect rustom
looking interesting and waiting for deadly akki performance in rudtom.
