Rockstar has opened to an excellent response all over India. The Ranbir Kapoor starrer has done close to 11 crores of business on its opening day. The 3 day weekend is now expected to be more than 30 crores.
Collections at multiplexes all over India were strong, business at single screens was low. Much like Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Rockstar’s box-office prospects rely entirely on how multiplex audiences take to the film.
Even though a strong initial weekend is expected, the word-of-mouth is mixed. It’ll be interesting to see how the film holds up during the weekdays.

Nice movie. Its a very different and out of the line movie. because of its unconventional approach i think it has got a mixed response but the concept is really very good if properly understood and guys thats how an industry grows, by experimenting… Thanks Imtiaz for having a great deal of guts to make such a movie. rightly a 4 star.
