Shah Rukh Khan is one of the biggest stars in the industry today, but it’s been a struggle for the superstar to find favourable release periods – which would get him those big grossers that he desperately needs, after two box office disappointments in the form of ‘Dilwale’ and ‘FAN’.
In the last couple of years, it’s becomes a trend to announce the release dates of films well in advance. Salman Khan has dominated Eid and made the weekend his own, Aamir tries to release his films during Christmas, Ajay always has an eye on Diwali and Akshay is taking all the remaining ‘non-festive’ dates like Republic Day, Post IPL, Gandhi Jayanti and Independence Day.
With these actors announcing all their films more than a year in advance, even Shah Rukh Khan had to do something that he has said he doesn’t like – announce a film months before it even goes on floors. His banner, Red Chillies Entertainment, recently announced that his film with Aanand L Rai would release during the Christmas 2018 weekend. Shah Rukh announcing the release date of his film more than 2 years before its release, is something that has never happened before.
Which brings us to his next two films. While Raees and Kaabil will be fighting for box office supremacy during the Republic Day weekend – even though no film released in January has crossed the 130 crore mark – it’s the probable release date of ‘The Ring’ directed by Imtiaz Ali that is being discussed.
The options for the film, if it wants to find a favourable weekend, are limited in 2017. The film should be ready for release sometime in Mid-August next year, but almost all the successful dates have been taken.
There were reports that SRK-Imtiaz wanted the Independence Day weekend for their film, but Akshay was quick to grab it after the success of Rustom. The other date that they were looking at, was September 29, the Dusshera weekend which has plenty of holidays including Gandhi Jayanti on October 2nd. That date is gone too with Varun Dhawan and Sajid Nadiadwala announcing ‘Judwaa 2’.
So it’s either going to be about announcing ‘The Ring’ on a date that’s already occupied by another film or opting for a normal weekend. Shah Rukh could also ‘create’ a new weekend and make it his own by having a release during that period every year. For example, the Ganesha Chaturthi and Bakrid weekends are still vacant and the makers could hype it up as a favourable date for their film.
It’s become a game of perception these days. Eid and Diwali only have one big holiday, but with event films releasing during those weekends, it’s become a habit for the audience to watch films, thereby increasing the footfalls quite significantly.

So if he want to release 3 movie every year than he will release his big budget movie on EDX and 2nd movie on Bakra-E-Eid day,
And 3rd movie on small holiday like Independent day,Republic Day,2nd October,Or in Summer Vacations in June.
Srk should first eyeing on Diwali for his biggest release for every year and if that year Salman or Aamir not come on Eid or Christmas than he should release his 2nd movie on Eid or Christmas, otherwise he should release his 2nd movie on Bakra-E-Eid every year. And for his 3rd movie He can choose Republic Day,Independent Day,2nd October, Summer Vacation,

SRK has lost the loyalty of moviegoers. His Movie Choices has gone Good to Bad.
Audiences who watched movies like DDLJ, KKHH, VeerJara etc don’t come to watch his recent movies like Chennai Express and Dilwale .
Difference between Srk and other actors is that other actors are doing movies which public appreciates, take PK, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Airlift etc as an example.
It was obvious after Dilwale-Bajirao Mastani clash that srk won’t get big release date, incase he gets other movies will clash with his movie. Fan’s debacle has made it easier for others.
Srk does not have that core fan following that he used to have it earlier, His Attitude and statements has led him to controversy and public are not happy with him.
While other actors are growing their fanbases SRK is loosing it, More than Srk I blame (So called ) Srk fans for this. I have seen srk fans (particularly – who have 01 as last part of twitter username ) Commenting bad about other actors, giving them bad names and even criticising their good works.
They have problem with Aamir’s social work, Akshay’s donation to Soldier’s family, Farmers etc.
To Get respect you should 1st learn to respect others. The reason behind growing haters of Srk is srk fans. Aamir and Salman’s fanbase support each other, who supports Srk’s fanbase today ?
Eid, Diwali and Christmas are/were occupied by khans, that’s what boosting their BOC. In non festive period Salman, Aamir and SRK’s movies have done less than Akshay, Hrithik and Ranbir’s Movie. Hrithik, Akshay and Ranbir hardly get EDX thesedays because of pre-blocking Release System.
Now more movies are coming, Clash is bound to happen – Akshay releases 3-4 Movies, Khans, Hrithik, Ajay and Ranbir will have atleast 1 release each. So atleast 9 big movies release every year, Counting Ranveer’s It will be 10. And We have EDX festive release and 4 non-festive release. Total 7 Good Releases, In Non Festive there is always clash, So atleast 2/3 Movies should clash or come on normal release period.
Coming to Srk, he can’t be in top 2-3 Years because all of his films are seeming average ito BO Prospects. And if he does not select good scripts between this period his career comes to an end.

That means Net Collection in India are 350 plus.
