Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor turned 34 today. The actor, who is going through the lowest phase of his career with quite a few flops against his name, enters the most crucial year of his career.
Ranbir has Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil lined up for release during Diwali and he also begins shooting for the ‘Sanjay Dutt biopic’ from January next year. The success of the two films, under two of the biggest directors in the industry, will be important for the actor.
His father Rishi Kapoor, who shared screen-space with Ranbir in ‘Besharam’, tweeted that he is a proud father.
“Happy Birthday Ranbir! God bless. Bas, apna kaam achcha karo!… We (are) proud of you,” Rishi tweeted.

After clash with the great Salman khan, his career deteriorated by each coming films.
Its hard to digest that he was best among new comers, LOL when someone of his calibers tiff with The greatest of all time salman khan. the result was known.

He is going the Abhishek Bachchan way. Though his highs have been higher than Bachchan, I don’t see him as a Top 3 or Top 5 in the future. A pretty much Ajay Devgan like career.
All the hype behind him reminds me of Akshaye Khanna in the late 90s when everyone was going gaga over him. Mukta, RK Films, Priyadarshan, Abbas Mastan, he had a lot of backers. See what happened.

But but but….as per your theory the bigger the budget is, the bigger the opening should be right? So what happened to the 125cr budget movie ‘Bombay Velvet’ which also had a top heroine Anushka and 2700 screens / solo release? Total nett gross of 22 cr…!!! Even Hrithik’s biggest disaster ‘Guzaarish’ made 32cr in 2010 from 1000 screens with that genre..and you are dreaming Ranbir is a bigger star than Hrithik…? Big LOL on you!
‘Besharam’ was a solo release on National holiday in 3500 screens and it was coming after the hugely successful ‘YJHD’ (which by the way was such a huge hit due to songs and Deepika lol) so you know why it took a good opening.
