The team of ‘Robot 2.0’ have moved to Rajnikanth’s home town Chennai to continue shooting for the film. The director of the film sought permission to shoot at Chennai’s Forum Vijaya Mall early on Wednesday morning.
The team reached the mall at 2AM and completed shooting the scenes by 6AM. Akshay Kumar, who usually has strict conditions of ‘no early morning / late night / weekend shoot’ was seen shooting for the film too. The actor is said to have given the film a lot more dates than he usually does.
“Director Shankar had sought special permission to shoot in Forum Vijaya Mall in Chennai. The team shot between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. earlier this morning (Wednesday). Akshay Kumar and a few character artistes participated in the shoot” a source close to the film said.
The scene which was earlier planned with the public, was cancelled because the presence of both Rajnikanth and Akshay could have resulted in them getting mobbed.
“They had originally planned to shoot with the public. However, they feared being mobbed and, therefore, dropped the plan and instead chose to shoot early morning” the source added.
The current schedule will be wrapped up this weekend.

@ANK, but sad part is that they haven’t revealed anything related to MD. The buzz has to be balanced. Though i agree that over pronoting is not healthy and it kills thr buzz to some extent but when its only 3 months awat then at least a first look has to be unvieled. Anyways, expectations are very high for MD.

rajni is big is south but akshay is big in main field , even if he not like khans , being that big in bollywood makes him in teh same level as rajni
