Raees vs Sultan Eid 2016 clash re-confirmed!

Earlier this morning, we posted tweets of Ritesh Sidhwani, which created a lot confusion not just in our comments section, but also on Twitter.

The producer of Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees had tweeted “Speculation on #Raees release date! It all ends this Eid.. Chalo time for me to take a dip in the warm waters of #tenerife”

A lot of people felt that the tweet meant that Ritesh Sidhwani would have more news about the release date of ‘Raees’ during Eid this year. But if Excel Entertainment had to change the release date of the film, why would they wait until Eid this year?

To clear the confusion, Sidhwani has once again tweeted that ‘Raees’ will in fact release during Eid 2016m confirming the clash between Salman Khan and SRK.

“My timeline tells me a lot of confusion on my last tweet about Raees release date. Let me clarify.. We had announced in February that we will be releasing our film on EID 2016 & we are on schedule to release it as planned..”

Ritesh also announced that he has a surprise in store for ‘Raees fans’ (read SRK fans) during Eid this year.

“And a little surprise for all Raees fans this EID.. chalo ho Gaya sab confusion clear” he tweeted.

There you go then, Raees vs Sultan confirmed for theatrical release on July 1st 2016 (the Friday before Eid).

  • So sidhwani ji then u have to run ur raees in maratha mandir only almost for 30 yrs to recover the cost as no 1 will give u screens in india to ur overactor .

    I can bet Raees will be Srk’s best movie in recent times which would be another performance oriented unlike Sultan which will be another masala movie with same old story

    But I say that there is nothing like that .
    Salman is not even in the race.
    He has to first learn to win it against Akshay and Ajay in the clashes. Remember how Main aur Mrs Khanna was sandwiched by All the best and Blue..
    SRK has 100% win record in Clashes while bhai is yet to open his account. RIP Sultan in advance

  • Was there a need to publish this article today ? Today morning you published a similar article and by end of the day you are again posting a article which is not very different from the previous one . Salman and SRK get unprecedented media coverage sometimes it is justified but sometimes they cover things which are completely stupid . I knew since morning what Ritesh wanted to say but many people could not understand what he wanted to say . I think they will release the 1st Poster of Raees on Eid . I still feel that clash will be the last option because both are huge superstars . Raees has only one advantage that its 1st schedule is complete . On the other hand the casting of Salman is yet to completed and the shooting will commence most probably after the release of BB and the last schedule of PRDP . If there will be a clash then it will be the Biggest Clash in a long long time . The collections of both the movies will also be affected . Salman’s case is deferred till 1st July so the verdict will also play a important role . Both Salman and SRK Fans will trend this topic on FB and Twitter for many more days and after that people will move on . This time i want Ajay to stick to Diwali in 2016 just the way he stood against JTHJ . He should not postpone Shivaay until there is a genuine problem for delay in release date . I want both the movies to clash at the Box Office or one of the movie to release on a Non Holiday then it will be huge fun .
