Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees was steady on its 3rd day, with business dropping by around 30-35% from its first day (Wednesday) at the box office. The film has crossed the 50 crore mark in 3 days and when the final collections come in, it should get close to 60 crore.
The first extended weekend (5 days) of Raees should be in the 90 crore range and the film will become the first 100 crore grosser of the year by the end of its first week.
There are 13 more days to go before the release of Jolly LLB 2, giving Raees enough time to target the 150 crore mark at the domestic box office.
The other release of the week, Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil, has shown a solid trend too. The drop in business from Friday is around 5%. From the 23 theatres that we tracked, 9 theatres bettered Wednesday collections, while the rest were a little below.
The fate of Kaabil now depends on how it performs over the next three days. The growth on Saturday and Sunday, followed by the level of business on Monday will decide whether or not the film can recover costs.

Raees is a film which can work only in Muslim dominated areas other areas will drop from Friday .Screenplay of film is very weak.Trailer was amazing which showed it as mass film but direction is very bad.2nd half is slow.Dialogues look good only in trailer.Action scenes are without any emotion so it doesnt make much impact.Kaabil is epic and it will beat Raees at multiplexes from satday Sunday.And from next week Raees will face 60-70% drop
Its SRK’s Ego for releasing with Clash both time. i.e. with Bajirao in 2015 and now with Kabil. Its like na tum kamo na hum kamaye. On stardum factor movie could have easily collect 190 to 200 lifetime. Now it will only settle upto 140 cr and for Kabil 90 cr. Avg status.

Ik y’all stick to official figures for all movies but the other part of your answer is totally contradicting to your past actions. I remember you guys not even posting the collections of Singh Is Bling properly because y’all and trade had estimated a certain figure and the official figure was much much higher. Both raees and kaabil has brought some good news for the industry. But such a waste of opportunity especially for raees which could have been a blockbuster. Republic day weekend was never a good date for a single movie forget two. One thing clear is that there is no unity in industry. All are running after money. I have seen Kaabil its a very good movie and should have released solo but again. I blame srk for this clash there is no point avoiding a clash and clashing with another one. If srk thought that clashing with a comparatively smaller movie is wise decision than I must a say it’s a cheap strategy. Sorry Srk u have lost all my respect whatever left after that OSO vs Saawariya fight.

I watched Raees yesterday night along with my friend. To be honest, I am strongly recommend Raees to watch if somebody still do not watch it. I bet you never disappoint. This is very massy film still maintain realistic (except some actions scenes). You are never getting bore for a second. The clash of titan between Srk & Nawajuddin is treat to watch. Dialogue by nawajuddin “writing mein dedo” will make you laugh.
