Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees has completed its first week at the box office with net box office collections of Rs 109.01 crore in 7 days – as per official figures released by Red Chillies Entertainment.

Raees has raped Kaabil both in India and overseas. Overseas Raees is almost 70 cr now. Raees overseas = Kaabil domestic ? Raees beats Dangal in UK. Even Bollywood hungama and koimoi predicted Raees day 1 would have been 40cr and day 2 would have been 50 cr plus if it wasn’t a clash. Khud sale aukaat nai kch krne Ki, chale hain bhokne SRK pr.
@indicine what inconsistency you are talking about raees? You should have said this thing for kaabil few days back itself.. but still you r silent about this..As far as i know your estimates of raees was perfect upto sunday.. your first day estimate was around 20 crs and official was 20.4 crs, your 2nd day estimate was 26-27 crs and official was 26.3 crs. Till sunday raees trade estimate was similar with official.. But papa roshan kept on inflating the numbers.. he reported 4 crs monday as 6 crs which was 50% variance.. perhaps this made red chillies to involve in such things to answer papa roshan.. This is why i never follow official figures.. Still boi.com is the most faithfull trade site for me.. As an srk fan i accept jthj 101 crs, ce 208 crs,hny 179 crs and dilwale 140 crs.. And for me raees monday collection is 6 crs and tuesday collection is 5.25 crs..
Even if raaes makers hve manipulated collections by 1 or 2CR now .. its great,otherwise by huge manipulation kaabil would have match raaes collection and that would have been unfair …!
I think they have not manipulated… 6cr can’t be the real collection on Monday as the drop was just 40%

Difference between BOI figure and trade figure of ETT was around 6-7% not 10%. An important thing here is that ETT was beyond extraordinary at small town single screens where collections are almost impossible to track for anybody other than producer. In my small town there is only one single screen theater and they were selling more tickets than number of seats in theater. People were sitting on ground. So it is silly to think that BOI gives 100 % accurate figures. 5% more than BOI doesn’t mean it should be manipulated.
I appreciate BOI only for its stand against pseudo intellectual films like PIku. I hardly believe their collections. I accuse RCE for manipulating HNY opening day collection not on the basis of BOI but on the basis of early estimates provided by websites like Indicine.
I am in no mood to bash SRK anymore. He is no more in the race with Salman and Aamir. Hindi cinema has become a two-horse race.
So, just wish him all the best and he returns.
I wish Hrithik’s Kaabil becomes a clean hit and SRK-Imtiyaz film becomes a blockbuster or super hit.
I wish Ranbir-Ranveer-Varun step up their games and replace the three Khans. Good for the future of the Hindi cinema.
BOI figures are 103.5 and producer are 109.1. So only difference of less then 6% . Indicine when you do your predictions then upto 10 to 15% is accurate . What’s wrong now. We all know BOI figures are always on lower side .
Kaabil is manipulating from its opening day nobody said anything..raees is just 1 crore ahead from trade figure and everybody jealous.its not fair @indicine
wow Indicine. The first 5 days, when the manipulation was like hell u were ok and took Kaabil side and also called it samrt/intelligent move. But now just 3 C diff between BOI and Producer on overall collection of Raees, but u have come with all guns blazing

I recall afew yrs ago when Talaash missed out on 100cr n I was secretly wishing “why dont they just manipulate 10cr here or there as 100cr was a MUST in my mind for that film” but after awhile I calmed down n was glad they stayed true n acted amicably n honestly…!
At the end of the day its best to accept the reality sometimes that the paying public dont appreciate the films that you yourself love immensely…! Just ask ‘Lootera Nipoon’ who loved Lootera like mad but not a single member of the audience agreed with that wannabe kritiks sentiments…! Lifes like that so deal with it…
