On Friday, PV Sindhu made India proud by becoming the first Indian Woman to win an Olympic Silver medal.
While Bollywood celebrities hailed her for her achievement, Akshay Kumar had an important point to make. PV Sindhu had made a cricket crazy country like India watch Badminton.
Not only that, prayers were held at temples, churches and mosques prior to her Badminton final – scenes which are usually witnessed only before World Cup cricket finals or big matches against Pakistan.
Akshay tweeted “Always knew u were an achiever.U managed to convert a cricket obsessed nation to watch badminton @Pvsindhu1! #proud”
