Prem Ratan Dhan Payo was rock-steady on Day 2 at the box office, with collections, as per early estimates, set to be in the 30-31 crore plus range. When the final collections come in from all versions, the 2-day collections will be somewhere around the 73 crore mark, which is incredible when you consider the fact that Friday was only a restricted holiday for Bhai Dooj.
The morning shows on Friday was considerably down as compared to Thursday, but noon onwards, with the Bhai Dooj holiday advantage in places, the film picked up and recorded high occupancy in the evening / night shows.
The corporate booking will now come into play on Saturday and Sunday, which should ensure decent collections for the film. If the film does show growth on Saturday, the trend would also suggest that Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is set for a big Sunday at the box office.
PRDP has also opened well in the overseas markets, with gross collections of Rs 11 crore on Day 1. The worldwide gross for Thursday, with a limited overseas release, was Rs 66.8 crore.

31 cr on Friday is great. Expect Saturday and Sunday to be great too. I think the real test will come on Monday. BB was universally appreciated however PRDP has mixed reactions.

Incredible collection, was planning to watch it on Sunday but the way youth are reacting for the movie here on Indicine and my friend circle,I have to skip that film.
But must say Salman stardom is unparalleled. huge collection in first two days. Though we can’t rule out that Sooraj also contributed to bring families along with Salman sheer stardom.

Will have less gross than Hny at the end of the day, domestic lifetime can be guessed by monday. it was holiday yesterday too still it drop 35/40% ( more than hny , though hny didn’t have holiday) so from monday it will crushed for sure. & then on 3rd week tamasha will overshadow it properly.
Wait till Monday, every thing dudh ka dudh aur pani ka pani ho jayega. Due to diwali, its doing well, but from Monday, the figures will fall in single digits so no chance for 200 Cr. Life time will be between 140 cr- 170 Cr maximum.
