Preity Zinta, one of the most popular stars in the early 2000s, celebrates her 38th birthday today. Born in Shimla, Preity made her Bollywood debut in Shahrukh Khan’s Dil Se. She later went on to star in films like Soldier, Kya Kehna, Koi Mil Gaya, Sangharsh, Salaam Namaste and Veer Zaara.
Her heart-touching performance in Kal Ho Na Ha, won Preity her first and only Filmfare Best Actress award. Post two failures in Jaan-e-mann and Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, the dimpled beauty shifted her focus on cricket and is the co-owner of the IPL cricket team Kings XI Punjab.
Preity Zinta’s first home-production Ishkq In Paris was delayed as the director of the film Prem Soni was diagnosed on cancer. The film, which also features Preity in the lead, is likely to release in theatres soon.
