Karan Johar, who will co-produce Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and actress Alia Bhatt’s upcoming untitled film, says the pre-production of the highly anticipated project is going on in full steam.
While there were reports stating that the Gauri Shinde-directorial might get shelved due to creative differences between the makers, Karan has denied such rumours stating that the principal photography of the movie will commence from middle of January.
Karan, who will be co-producing the film under his Dharma Productions banner along with Hope Productions and Shah Rukh’s Red Chillies Entertainment, took to Twitter on Tuesday to share the news with his fans.
“@gauris film with @iamsrk and @aliaa08 commences principal photography middle of January! Pre production is on full steam now! Exciting,” Karan tweeted.

After 3 masala movies ,I think Srk realized that his audience wants the thing in which he is best,that is acting.Fan & Raees are looking like pure performance oriented films and will totally revolve around srk only.And after them comes this untitled project and it is said that it is unconventional story so I am hoping for another performance oriented film.And then rumours are srk working with imtiaz ali or Anand Rai,both directors are known to extract the best performances from actors.The people who are barking about class at Dilwale vs BM clash,be ready for another excuses because what actually class will be shown to you by srk next year

I am glad that Karan Johar confirmed that this movie is not shelved . I am looking forward for this movie because of Gauri Shinde . English Vinglish was a brilliant movie it was simple but extremely heart touching . She also won the Best Debut Director Filmfare Award . I think this movie will release in 2017 . More than SRK it will be a huge movie for Alia Bhatt as she is the only female lead in the movie and there are 3 male actors in the movie . I have heard SRK is playing a supporting role in this movie . Shaandaar disappointed big time and everybody was shocked that Vikas Bahl made such a dumb movie . I hope Gauri Shinde maintains her standard while working with Dharma and KJO . As i have said before Alia should avoid movies with Dharma . I know Karan Johar is the mentor of Alia Bhatt . But she should try new banners . Till now she has worked in 5 movies out of which 4 were produced by Dharma . All her upcoming movies are with Dharma except Udta Punjab .
Don’t know SRK has a main lead role or just a cameo. so many news are coming that he has just a small cameo that’s what even i feel as well, Karan Johar can do anything to promote Alia’s film but if SRK has a main lead role then that would be even much better since G-S is a brilliant director.
