Prem Ratan Dhan Payo has recorded the second highest single day collections in the history of the Hindi film industry. The collections are only below the more commercial ‘Happy New Year’ which released on the same holiday, on fewer screens, last year.

If HNY crawled past 200m with a 45m opening day, I don’t think PRDP will touch 200m with a 41m opening day. It will have a bigger 4-day than HNY’s 3-day but after Mon-Thu come in, their 1st week will be similar.
HNY had a 50% drop from Sunday to Monday and had a 15cr Monday. PRDP’s Sunday will be around 25-27cr. So it will track behind HNY on weekdays.
