As is pretty evident from the above numbers, Shahrukh Khan has dominated the overseas markets like no other actor in the history of the Indian film industry. Even his most ridiculed film, Ra One, has collected close to 11 million overseas.
But Aamir Khan’s last release Dhoom 3 and his most loved film 3 Idiots, have topped the charts. In fact, Dhoom 3 is way above the rest.
So the battle for the highest overseas grosser of 2014 is most likely going to be between Aamir’s P.K and SRK’s Happy New Year. The one factor that will hugely favour P.K is the fact that Rajkumar Hirani, the director of 3 Idiots, is directing P.K too.

it will be Happy New Year, as far as opening weekend concern, lifetime is only depend on content. 2 reason for Hny opening
1. Shah Rukh Khan, undisputed no. 1 in overseas.
2. Festive weekend – HNy will release on 23rd i.e. Thursday, so it got 4 day weekend and that aslo festvie weekend, while P.k. will release on 19th dec, Friday on a normal weekend.
But i think in lifetime its P.K. who will won the battle, as that film has much higher chance of sustaining & better content.
