PK is showing much better trends than Dhoom 3, which indicates that the film will not only cross the 300 crore mark, but could go on to be a much bigger grosser. The second week collection comparison suggests that PK is likely to be ahead by around 20-30% and could sustain even better during the weekdays.
Comparing the word-of-mouth, the Rajkumar Hirani film is easily the better liked film of the two. While Dhoom 3 also did well, it wasn’t carrying that ‘must watch’ tag – which could be a key factor, especially with the New Year holiday and a open week before the release of Tevar.

Some fools may dismiss D3 as a crap masala movie like CE, HNY, K3, Kick but the fact is that it grossed close to a 100 cr after its first week….AWESOME trending for a masala movie

Pk is showing much better trend than dhoom3 agreed but ranbir is better actor. Actors like amir,srk,salman,ajay,akki,hrithik,emran,ranveer and all ham , ham and ham a lot. While ranbir is just excellent out of the world actor.
Aamir,srk,salman,ajay-akki,hr,emran,ranvir n all needs to learn a lot from ranbir. Box office wise, fan,raees,prdp,bb are going to collect much less than tamasha,jagga.

Aamir khan has delivered a strong message to SRK.
content is always the king. SUPERSTARDOM can always get you to 100 crores in 3 days but getting to 300 crores require visionary director (hirani) and creative entertaining script.
While SRK has wasted his 48th year chasing garbage like FARAH KHAN & ROHIT SHITTY, Aamir stuck to his Ace who gave him BO 1st 200+ crores with excellent content.
4 years later, duo will comfortably cross 300+ crores.
SRK’s 49th year has to deliver now. If FAN and RAEES are low on entertainment quotient despite being high on content, they may not cross 225 crores.
I’ll be very happy if PK will surpass D3, because if content is concerned then PK is waaaayyyy ahead than D3. In fact, PK deserves much more collections. It should cross 300 Cr comfortably.
@kingshuk srk Christmas release Don 2 lifetime in overseas was 11.3 million dollar,while pk 6 days in overseas was same as lifetime of Don 2 there and because Christmas fall at 7th day the first week collection of pk is 13.5 million dollar.Stop talking about rubbish man, try to accept defeat rather than creating excuses,without ghajini still Aamir collected 63cr with tzp despite clash with welcome in 2007 that time he was director,producer and actor in the film.if it was solo release who knows tzp could topple oso in 2007,after with if and buts can do unthinkable as per your theory.

@khan sorry but working with Rohit wasn’t a bad idea,because if srk required to do masala movie than Rohit shetty is definitely master in this generation and not to forget CE was the film who break 3i record first time in 4 years,and the way CE trended after first week shows it was a film which appreciated by people, while other hand doing hny is always the bad decision from srk,hny was the film which I heard since main noon naa released but it never went into production till 2013 but don’t know what made srk to do the film after 9 Yeats that too with 3 hours length.Very high hopes from fan now and we wish fan film bring old srk back.
