Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Sanjay Leela Bhansali have decided to stay away from Yash Raj Films’ Tiger Zinda Hai. The decision has finally been made to release the magnum-opus ‘Padmavati’ on November 17 2017, a month before the previously finalised date (15 December 2017).
The much-discussed clash between ‘Padmavati’ and ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ has been averted, making way for Salman Khan to get a completely solo ‘competition-free’ release during Christmas next year.
It’s the current form and box office supremacy of the superstar that makes it impossible for anyone to even think of taking him on. Not just in the week of his release, but most banners try to avoid releasing their films a week before and a couple of weeks after the release of his films.
‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ is even bigger because it reunites Salman with his ‘Sultan’ director Ali Abbas Zafar, it’s a sequel to a major blockbuster ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ and has the backing of a banner like Yash Raj Films.
‘Padvamati’ is one of the biggest releases of 2017 too. It features Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor in the lead. It won’t get the advantage of holidays, but could get a 4 week open run if there are no major releases between ‘Padmavati’ and ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’.
It’s a good and sensible decision, during times when most banners seem to be obsessed with festive and holiday weekends for their big films.

@Prashant abhishek , yes Srk was consistent, but only in giving average or semi-hit and max Hit, that’s it, and this does not make him big superstar because after working with Big Banners, Big Actress and Big Director and Multistar cast movie, if you cannot give Blockbusters then it means you have no stardom….
1) In his so called golden period (2000-2008 at max) he manage to give only 4 Blockbusters and ZERO ATBB….
2) In his golden period he face so many clashes, not only from big stars but also from new comers, which clearly shows no one scared from him……yes he won maximum clash that time (most from small margin) but at the 1st place he should not face any clash, if he was at top…..

1) Salman’s Golden Phase (2010-Till Date & Still Running) he give 8 Blockbusters and ATBB (Combine)……
2) No one dare to clash with him, he book his date like a TIGER and rest leave that date like a RAT……..Note EID 2018 is still vacant but no one dare to book that date….WHY????…

Does it not look like a cyclical effect. Salman has not had a clash in a long time. He has had the privilege of releasing his movies on the best holiday’s of the year and usually no major movie releases within 3-4 weeks of that. SLB took SRK on during Christmas 2015, against all odds and came out winner. Salmans true value can only be established if someone can have that same kind of courage, to take on Salman, with their big release. Till then i believe he is capitalizing on other’s fear

In that year all the EDX were booked and salman ran away like coward and released jai ho on republic day. Actually jai ho was initially supposed to release on eid 2013, but after CE announced he decided and tried to release on christmas but when he heard that megastar aamir khan booked christmas for dhoom 3, he was scared and ran away from the might of Aamir and released jail ho on republic day. Thats his aukaat. He can mess with anyone else but he can never mess with Aamir. If Aamir wants all the EDX then he will surely get as no one can ever dare to clash with true megastar and even salman will run away and postpone his movie to next year to make way for Aamir.
