The shooting schedule of ‘Ok Jaanu’ starring Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead, has been wrapped up. The film is a remake of Mani Ratnam’s Tamil film ‘O Kadhal Kanmani’ which featured Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen.
The Tamil film was about a video game developer, who moves to Mumbai and meets a girl. They agree that marriage is not for them and decide to have live-in relationship instead, before they go their separate ways for their respective careers. Later they realise that people marry each other for a reason.
Ok Jaanu releases in theatres on January 13 2017. Lyrics by Gulzar, music by A.R. Rahman and Shaadi Ali as director.

‘OK Kanmani’ had chartbuster music by ARR…I hope he brings the same tunes to Hindi version as well….the song ‘Mental Manathil’ was a rage when it got released…Dulquer and Nithya were outstanding in the original..
Reading the above lines this is looking like a cliche KJO Rom Com . The plot is looking very similar to SDR and Katti Batti . Both the movies were based on live in relationships and later both of them get married . The title is plain stupid . Only advantage will be the chemistry of Aditya and Shraddha which has been superb in A2 . Shraddha is getting success no doubt about that but her performance has been only appreciated in A2 . Now she is doing Rock On 2, OK Jaanu and HG so let’s hope for the best . As for Aditya this has to be a Hit otherwise he will have a tough time with 3 back to back flops .

One of Karan Johar’s major tricks is that he uses popular duos and make films with them. Such Ranbir-Deepika(YJHD), SRK-Kajol and now Aditya-Shradhha.
It’s quite interesting how he does it.

Dont know about the movie and the stars. But the combo of Gulzar and A R Rehman excites me. With such legends coming together, hoping the music will be a treat to listen
